SIDBI’s 2024 Grade A and Grade B recruitment is closed. Registration ran from November 8 to December 2, 2024, and the bank later published selection-related updates, including a final selected-candidate list dated April 28, 2025. This guide explains the posts, eligibility framework, selection process, and dates in the original notice.
What happened in the SIDBI 2024 recruitment?
The Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) invited applications for officer posts in Grade A and Grade B, across General and Specialist streams. The online application gateway opened November 8, 2024 and closed December 2, 2024. The cycle is not open for new applications.
SIDBI’s careers page later listed recruitment outcome updates, including result, scorecard or marksheet information, interview notices, and cut-off marks. The selected-candidate list is dated April 28, 2025.
How many vacancies were advertised?
The 2024 advertisement listed 72 vacancies in total: 50 Assistant Manager Grade A posts in the General Stream and 22 Manager Grade B posts across three streams.

The IT stream covered skill areas including AI/ML automation, full-stack application development, security, infrastructure, and networks. Category-reservation counts were set out by post in the advertisement, so check that notice rather than applying a single reservation breakdown to every stream.

The first three examination milestones were tentative dates in the 2024 notice. SIDBI subsequently posted outcome-related notices on its careers page.

What were the eligibility requirements?
Age limits
As of November 8, 2024, the stated age range was 21–30 years for Grade A and 25–33 years for Grade B. The notice also provided category-based age relaxations.
Education and experience
Education and post-qualification experience requirements varied by post and stream; there was no single degree or experience rule that covered General, Legal, and IT roles alike. The original SIDBI recruitment advertisement gives the requirements and applicable relaxations for each position. Eligibility was subject to verification, and SIDBI said candidature could be cancelled if information was incorrect or the candidate did not meet the criteria.

How did selection work?
The process comprised Phase I, Phase II, a psychometric assessment, and a personal interview. Specialist-stream assessments included domain-specific content.
Phase I examination
The notice described Phase I as a shortlisting stage for Phase II. Its listed structure was 200 questions for 200 marks over 120 minutes. The subjects included English, reasoning, quantitative aptitude, computer knowledge, general awareness covering banking, financial, economic and social issues, MSME policy and finance topics, and a stream-specific test. The precise pattern and syllabus differed by stream; refer to the official notice for the relevant post.

Final selection
SIDBI stated that final selection and ranking would use performance in the Phase II examination and interview. The psychometric assessment was part of the process, alongside the two examination phases and interview.

These are estimates in the 2024 advertisement, not guaranteed take-home pay or a statement of compensation for a later recruitment cycle.
How were candidates told to apply?
For the 2024 cycle, SIDBI instructed candidates to apply online through the bank’s website after reading the advertisement and checking eligibility for the selected post. It said other application modes would not be accepted. The notice’s instruction was: “Candidates are requested to apply only ON-LINE through Bank’s website www.sidbi.in after carefully going through all the instructions contained in this application and general instructions given in this advertisement.” This describes the closed 2024 process; it is not a current application invitation.
