Capital.com reported that SHIB closed at $0.00001219 on 31 August 2025, with a market capitalization of about $7.23 billion. Its reported price at the start of January 2025 was $0.00002115. These are two dated observations—not the final 2025 close, a complete account of the year, or a current quote.

At the 31 August snapshot, the reported close was below the averages from Benzinga, Changelly and CoinDCX, and below the bottom of each of those sources’ stated ranges. It was within CoinCodex’s range and close to CoinGape’s estimate. That comparison is only a point-in-time check against forecasts for the year; it does not establish whether a full-year prediction was accurate.
The project publication The Shib Magazine later described SHIB falling below $0.00001 by mid-2025. Its December 2025 retrospective also reported that Shibarium passed 1 billion total transactions by midyear, with a single-day peak of 4.7 million. Those transaction counts describe network activity; by themselves, they do not show durable demand for SHIB, how much value accrued to the token, or that the price would rise. Why do Shiba Inu forecasts differ so much?
A forecast range is an estimate under a publisher’s assumptions, not a guaranteed trading band. The five reports compiled by Capital.com produced widely different averages and ranges, and the roundup does not establish a common forecasting method that would make them directly interchangeable. Crypto prices can move quickly, while conditions and assumptions behind an estimate may change. For SHIB, the figures are best understood as examples of what different publishers projected at that time—not as a dependable consensus.

Token price alone can make an ambitious target sound smaller than its implied total valuation. Coin Bureau’s analysis dated 4 May 2026 cited approximately 589.24 trillion SHIB in circulation. Using that dated supply figure, a $1 price would imply a market capitalization of roughly $589 trillion: $1 multiplied by about 589.24 trillion tokens. This is arithmetic based on Coin Bureau’s cited supply snapshot, not a forecast, and circulating supply can change.

That scale is a useful reality check when weighing extreme price claims. A target should be evaluated alongside the number of tokens in circulation and the market capitalization it would imply, rather than by looking at the per-token price alone.
