PerthNow’s Grace Baldwin reported that the pop-up was scheduled for Brookside Shopping Centre in Mitchelton, Brisbane. The report described apparel and accessories for people of different ages, genders, fashion tastes and body sizes, as well as items for pets. Why “opens in Australia” needs context
SHEIN had held an Australian pop-up before the Brisbane event. Ragtrader reported that the company’s first Australian pop-up ran in Melbourne from 13–15 May 2022. It also reported that a SHEIN spokesperson said further Australian activations were planned. Ragtrader’s 2022 report
The Brisbane report called its event the sixth Australian pop-up. PerthNow later described a planned three-day event at Lakeside Joondalup in Perth, scheduled for 21–23 June 2024, as the seventh. Those reports point to a series of temporary events; they do not establish a permanent Australian retail network or provide a full audited list of pop-ups. SHEIN’s online presence in Australia
A physical pop-up is separate from SHEIN’s online business. In its March 2025 final report, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission described SHEIN as a successful entrant to Australia’s online marketplace. The ACCC said SHEIN added third-party sellers in May 2023, turning its business into a hybrid marketplace.
