Dejphon Chansiri’s wealth is linked to shares in his family business, but the available sources do not establish a reliable current figure for his personal net worth. He took over Sheffield Wednesday in 2015. Ownership status is also time-sensitive: a Companies House record reviewed for this article lists him as an active person with significant control, while the club said in March 2026 that Arise Capital Partners had been selected as preferred bidder—not that a sale had completed.

What is Dejphon Chansiri’s net worth?

No reliable current estimate of Chansiri’s personal net worth is established by the cited sources. BBC reporting attributes to a football finance analyst the assessment that Chansiri held a significant number of shares in his family business, and that the value of those shares and his personal wealth had fallen in recent years. The report gives no quantified current valuation. BBC reporting

That is an attributed assessment, not an audited calculation of his assets and debts. A family-company shareholding, Sheffield Wednesday’s finances, or a figure associated with a possible club sale cannot by itself establish what Chansiri personally owns or owes. No competing, well-supported personal net-worth estimates are available in the cited sources to compare responsibly.

How did Chansiri make his money?

The strongest available account connects his wealth to a substantial shareholding in his family business. The BBC report does not provide a current value for that stake or a detailed breakdown of Chansiri’s personal income and assets, so it supports that broad connection—not a precise account of how much he is worth.

Sheffield Wednesday’s report for the year ended 31 July 2024 states that Chansiri was owner and director of Elev8 Energy Drink Limited, Elev8 Clothing Limited, D Performance Limited, Sheffield 3 Limited and Sheffield 5 Limited. It identifies Sheffield 2 as the club company’s ultimate parent. These roles provide corporate context but do not disclose the value of his personal holdings. Sheffield Wednesday’s 2024 report

Who owns Sheffield Wednesday?

BBC reporting says Chansiri took over the club in 2015. A Companies House persons-with-significant-control result displays a date of 4 June 2026 and lists him as active, with ownership of 75% or more of Sheffield Wednesday Football Club Limited’s shares. That is what the register result records for that date; it should not be treated as a timeless statement of ownership. Companies House persons-with-significant-control register

The club’s update of 10 March 2026 said joint administrators had selected Arise Capital Partners LLC as preferred bidder in the administration-era sale process. It described an exclusivity agreement and regulatory process; it did not announce a completed transfer. The March announcement and the dated Companies House result describe different points in a changing process, and the sources cited here do not resolve their apparent tension. What the EFL charges do—and do not—say about personal wealth

On 3 June 2025, the EFL said Sheffield Wednesday and Chansiri had been charged over failures to meet obligations to pay players’ wages on time and in full in March and May 2025. The statement reports charges, not a finding of guilt. It provides club and regulatory context; it is not evidence of Chansiri’s personal net worth. EFL statement of 3 June 2025
