Who owns Sheffield United now?
COH Sports completed its takeover on 23 December 2024. The club’s audited accounts for the year ended 30 June 2025 identify Blades Leisure Limited as the immediate parent of Sheffield United Football Club Limited. They record that COH Sports Bidco Limited acquired 100% of Blades Leisure Limited on 23 December 2024, and name COH Sports United LLC as the ultimate parent. The LLC is jointly controlled by trusts of Steven H. Rosen and Helmy Eltoukhy.
BBC Sport reported the takeover’s completion and said Rosen and Eltoukhy would become co-chairmen. The deal included the men’s and women’s teams, the Bramall Lane hotel and the club’s real estate.
Companies House lists Blades Leisure Limited as the active person with significant control over the club company. Its record shows Prince Abdullah’s prior significant-control entry as having ceased on 18 October 2019. Because that filing does not reflect the later ownership change, the club’s audited accounts are the clearer source for the December 2024 transaction. Companies House also cautions that it does not check the accuracy of filed information.

The available evidence documents their companies and roles, but does not establish a reliable personal net-worth figure for either man. A corporate title or ownership interest is not itself a valuation of personal wealth.
How did Prince Abdullah make his money?
The documented business source in the available reporting is Saudi Paper Manufacturing Company (SPMC). Campden Family Business reported that Prince Abdullah established the company in 1991 and that it listed on the Saudi stock market in 2006.

Campden also quoted Prince Abdullah reflecting on the pressure and motivation of building his business: “I always liked to work under pressure, when I started it was always do or die.” The profile offers context about his approach to work, but it does not provide a verified estimate of his current personal wealth or a complete account of its sources.

The Sheffield United Football Club Limited accounts report that the club received an £11 million loan from its parent company after the change of control. That is club financing for the financial year ended 30 June 2025; it is not a measure of an owner’s personal fortune or the full price paid for the club. The accounts do not disclose a full takeover consideration.
