Shaquille O’Neal’s newest oversized gummy candy is called Shaq-A-Licious SLAMS. Announced by The Hershey Company on January 7, 2026, the format pairs three crunchy-coated gummy balls with a chewy, sour mango ring—and is the latest addition to a line that began in 2024.
What are Shaq’s new gummies?
Shaq-A-Licious SLAMS are a basketball-inspired variety in the Shaq-A-Licious line, made by The Hershey Company in partnership with Shaquille O’Neal. Hershey said the nationwide retail rollout would begin in January 2026. The candy’s playful format is designed for dunking the gummy balls into the mango ring.
- Gummy balls: Three crunchy-coated pieces in watermelon, strawberry, and orange flavors.
- Gummy ring: One chewy, sour mango-flavored ring.
How SLAMS fit into the Shaq-A-Licious line
SLAMS are not the original Shaq-A-Licious gummies. Hershey introduced the XL Gummies line in 2024 with Original and Sour varieties, then added sneaker-shaped gummies in 2025. The company reported that the original XL launch became its number-one sweets launch of 2024, with more than 11 million units sold; that is Hershey’s figure, not an independently audited sales total.
| Variety | Shape and texture | Flavors | Package detail stated by Hersheyland |
|---|---|---|---|
| SLAMS | Three crunchy-coated gummy balls and one chewy, sour ring | Watermelon, strawberry, and orange balls; sour mango ring | Not stated in the cited announcement |
| Original XL | Oversized gummies | Peach, orange, and berry punch | 6.2 oz bag for the Original Flavors product |
| Sour XL | Oversized gummies shaped around Shaq nicknames | Pineapple, mixed berry, and green watermelon | Not stated on the cited brand page |
| Sneaker-shaped gummies | Sneaker shapes | Strawberry, mango, and lime | Not stated on the cited brand page |
Hershey also reported in September 2024 that gummies had grown 11.8% over the five years before that post, compared with 6.3% for chocolate. Those are the company’s category comparisons for the period it cited, not a current growth rate.

Where can I buy Shaq-A-Licious gummies?
Hershey’s January 2026 announcement said SLAMS would roll out at retailers nationwide beginning that month. That announcement does not establish whether a particular store has them in stock today or what they cost. Hersheyland’s Shaq-A-Licious brand page describes the range, and its Original Flavors product page lists the 6.2 oz bag. Check a retailer’s current listing or local inventory for availability and price.

In a March 31, 2026 promotion around Final Four weekend, Hershey called Shaq-A-Licious the NCAA tournament’s official gummy partner for a second consecutive year. That is dated promotional context; it does not establish a continuing partnership beyond the period Hershey announced.
