The launch drew local beauty influencers and included early shopping access, a palette giveaway and activities inside the new store. The opening-day details below are historical; the coverage does not establish the store’s current hours, operations or stock.
What the Westfield Carousel opening included
PerthNow’s 12 October 2023 report described a 350-square-metre store carrying makeup, skincare, fragrance and haircare. The report said the assortment included 100 exclusive brands, naming Rare Beauty, Fenty Beauty, Tarte, Ouai and Sephora Collection as examples. It also described a beauty studio intended for community events and masterclasses.

Influencers and opening-day activities
Perth influencer Emily Davies was expected at a 7am pre-opening party for a fan Q&A. PerthNow reported that Davies had 362,000 Instagram followers at the time; that was a contemporaneous figure, not a current audience count. Same-day coverage reported that Gracie Piscopo attended the pre-party and that Piscopo, Davies and Shayley Carter received early access to the store.

The public launch was set to feature a live DJ, beauty stations and samples. PerthNow said the first 10 people in line could shop before the crowds, while the first 250 were to receive an Anastasia Beverly Hills Norvina Pro Pigment N1 Palette. The report put the palette’s value at $114; that was the stated value for the 2023 giveaway, not a current price or an offer that remains available.
What Gracie Piscopo said about beauty
In PerthNow’s 12 October 2023 follow-up, Piscopo said: “I love the Kayali perfumes, Fenty Beauty and Dior,” and added, “I’m always never without a lip gloss.” She described her makeup advice as “less is more” and said she “couldn’t live without an eyelash curler.” PerthNow reported that she had 1 million Instagram followers at the time; this, too, is a historical audience figure.

Davies told PerthNow, “It’s awesome to see little old Perth getting all of the biggest and best stores.” Piscopo said of retailers arriving in Western Australia: “It’s nice to see stores like Sephora opening up here, we are getting there, but Perth is always a bit behind.” Their comments captured the local significance of the opening: shoppers could access a major beauty retailer and the brands named in the launch coverage in a new Perth location.
