At the time, CEO Mickey Bresman said the company’s next step “currently looks like an IPO.” That was an expression of ambition—not confirmation of a filed offering or a completed IPO. The available information does not verify a later filing or offering.
What Semperis announced in June 2024
Semperis said the $125 million growth financing would support product innovation and service for its growing global customer base. The company described the funding as following its $200 million Series C round in 2022, led by KKR. Semperis’s June 20, 2024 announcement named J.P. Morgan and Hercules Capital as the financing sources.
TechCrunch reported that the financing combined equity and debt, but the available reporting does not state the exact proportions. SecurityWeek reported at the time that the transaction brought Semperis’s total capital raised to $373 million; that is a contemporaneous 2024 figure, not a current total. SecurityWeek’s report and TechCrunch’s report provide the IPO context.
What “eyes IPO” meant—and what it did not
SecurityWeek framed the financing as preparation for a public-market exit. TechCrunch reported that it had confirmed a valuation above $1 billion with the company and quoted Bresman saying the next step “currently looks like an IPO.” Both the valuation and the comment belong to the 2024 reporting; neither establishes Semperis’s current valuation or an IPO timetable.

An IPO aspiration is different from a public filing or completed stock-market listing. The information available here does not verify a subsequent registration statement or offering, so the 2024 headline should not be read as proof that Semperis went public.

The company highlighted their backgrounds in cybersecurity and public-company or IPO work. Their appointments supplied relevant leadership experience for a company discussing a possible public-market path, but do not establish that an offering was filed.
What Semperis sells
Semperis is an enterprise cybersecurity software and services provider, not a consumer hardware company. Its focus is protecting and recovering identity systems used by organizations. Coverage in 2024 described its Active Directory protection and forest recovery products; the company describes its wider coverage as including hybrid identity environments built around Active Directory, Entra ID and Okta. Semperis’s company site describes its identity-security business.

The company’s later announcement said it had surpassed $100 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR). That is a company-reported milestone, not an independently audited financial result. The same announcement discussed a SaaS offering for small and midsize businesses and expanded AI-powered threat detection and response. Semperis’s ARR announcement provides those details.
