As of August 18, 2026, the advertised $100 discount on the Sennheiser MOMENTUM 4 Wireless cannot be confirmed as a live offer. Retailer results show conflicting prices and availability, while a June Amazon sale at $179 is historical. Check the exact listing’s price, color, condition, seller and return terms before buying. The headphones themselves offer adaptive ANC and Sennheiser-rated playback of up to 60 hours, but those features do not make every listed price a good deal.
Is the $100 discount live?
Not on the basis of the available retailer information. Best Buy results have shown different prices—including $229.99, $279.95 and $449.95—across listings or variants, and one $229.99 listing was marked sold out. Those results do not establish a current price for a new pair or prove a $100 saving. Check the Best Buy product page directly; confirm the selected color, condition, seller, stock, shipping, return period and warranty before placing an order.
A June 23, 2026 deal report listed the headphones at $179 on Amazon, but that past offer is not evidence that the price remains available on August 18. A search snippet or customer review mentioning a discount is not a live promotion. Call a listing “$100 off” only if the retailer currently displays both the price and a credible comparison price that support the claim.
What price makes the Momentum 4 a good buy?
These are editorial buying thresholds, not official prices. They reflect the historical $179 sale and a past Best Buy listing at $229.99, rather than a verified offer today.

| Price for a new pair | How to judge it |
|---|---|
| About $179–$199 | Excellent deal, if sold by a reputable or authorized retailer with clear warranty and return terms. |
| About $200–$230 | Good value if sound quality and battery life matter more to you than top-priority noise cancellation. |
| About $230–$250 | Consider it if you specifically prefer Sennheiser’s sound and features. |
| About $280 or more | Weak value unless you have a particular reason to want this model; compare other premium headphones first. |
A low price may apply only to a particular color, open-box stock, clearance inventory or a marketplace seller. Treat each as a different offer: check the seller and condition, and do not assume marketplace or open-box items carry the same warranty and return options as a new pair sold by the retailer.
What the Momentum 4 offers
The MOMENTUM 4 Wireless is a full-size Bluetooth over-ear headphone, not the separate MOMENTUM True Wireless 4 earbuds. Sennheiser lists hybrid adaptive noise cancellation, transparency mode, customizable sound through its Smart Control app and wireless playback of up to 60 hours on its official product page.
- Adaptive ANC and transparency: ANC is intended to reduce ambient noise; transparency mode lets outside sound through when you want more awareness.
- Fast charging: Sennheiser says a 10-minute charge can provide up to six hours of listening.
- Wired options: The headphones support Bluetooth and wired listening through USB-C or the included analog cable, depending on the source and setup.
- App and controls: The Smart Control app provides EQ and headphone settings. Touch controls, smart pause and automatic call-related behavior are part of the product experience.
- Bluetooth codecs: The manual lists aptX Adaptive, AAC and SBC. Which codec is used depends on the connected source and its software; support on the headphones alone does not guarantee aptX Adaptive playback.
The instruction manual specifies Bluetooth 5.2-era connectivity and a 700 mAh battery. Its listed 6 Hz–22,000 Hz frequency-response range is a technical specification, not a measure or guarantee of sound quality.

What “up to 60 hours” means in practice
Sixty hours is Sennheiser’s stated maximum playback time, not a promise that every listener will get that runtime. Actual battery life varies with volume, calls, codec, Bluetooth features, temperature, battery age and how the headphones are used. Frequent calls or high listening volume can reduce runtime, so do not treat music playback time as call time. The manual lists the battery as 3.7 V, 700 mAh and 2.59 Wh.

How the ANC and sound fit different buyers
ANC for travel and work
Adaptive ANC can help with steady background sounds such as engine rumble, HVAC and public-transit noise. It cannot remove every voice, sudden sound or high-frequency noise, and the seal and fit affect the result. The feature is useful, but “adaptive” by itself does not establish that the Momentum 4 cancels more noise than every Bose or Sony alternative. If maximum quiet on planes or trains is your main requirement, prioritize comparisons focused on ANC performance.
Sound and codec support
The Momentum 4 is a sound-first option in the premium ANC category. Best Buy customer feedback often praises sound quality, bass and detail, but those comments are subjective owner impressions, not controlled listening tests. The Smart Control app’s EQ lets listeners adjust the presentation. aptX Adaptive can be useful with a compatible Android phone or other source, but Apple devices and other sources that do not support it will use a compatible alternative codec. Codec support does not guarantee an audible improvement; the source, settings and content also matter.

Comfort, controls and trade-offs
The over-ear design and padded earcups make the Momentum 4 a plausible choice for long listening sessions. Best Buy customer feedback includes praise for comfort, but fit is personal: ear size, glasses, piercings, heat and sensitivity to clamp pressure can all affect comfort. If buying online, check the return policy before committing.
Best Buy review summaries also include owner reports of connectivity problems, touch-control quirks and lower-than-expected maximum volume. These are customer reports, not a measure of how often every owner encounters them. Touch controls may trigger when you adjust an earcup or brush against it. The plastic construction may feel less luxurious than metal-heavy alternatives, and full-size earcups are less compact than earbuds. The app and its setup may also be an unwelcome extra for buyers who want a no-configuration experience.

Quick Recap
Who should buy—and who should skip
Consider buying if
- You find a new pair around $180–$230 from a seller with clear warranty and return terms.
- You value music quality, EQ adjustment and long rated playback more than having the strongest possible ANC.
- You want over-ear headphones for travel, office use or extended listening and have a return option if the fit is wrong.
- You are comfortable buying an older-generation model at a substantial discount.
Skip or compare more broadly if
- Your first priority is maximum noise reduction for flights, trains or a noisy office. Bose may suit buyers who prioritize quiet travel and simple controls; Sony may suit those looking for broad app features and flagship ANC. These are selection guides, not claims about current prices.
- You want compact earbuds, dislike touch controls or do not want to use an app.
- You need reliable Bluetooth switching for your particular devices and cannot tolerate troubleshooting; confirm behavior with your setup rather than assuming multipoint or switching will work as you expect.
- The offer is open-box or from a marketplace seller and the condition, warranty or return terms are unclear.
- The price is near or above $280, where the value case is much weaker.
Check the listing before you pay
- Open the retailer’s product page and select the exact color and configuration you intend to buy.
- Confirm whether the item is new, open-box or refurbished, and identify the seller if the retailer hosts marketplace offers.
- Compare the current price with the displayed comparison price; do not rely on a search snippet or a past deal report to calculate the saving.
- Review shipping, estimated delivery, stock, return period and warranty eligibility, including any membership, coupon or payment-method requirement.
- If the advertised price disappears, check the color and condition selector. If only marketplace stock remains, assess the seller and terms separately; if it is sold out, compare the official Sennheiser page with retailer listings.
