What Sega Sammy reportedly exposed
On June 22, 2025, VGC reported that a table of game sales had appeared in a slide within a Sega Sammy presentation uploaded to the company’s investor-relations site. Sega Sammy subsequently removed the document, according to VGC; VGC reproduced the 11 figures from the table. How the reported totals compare with Sega Sammy’s 2023 figures
Sega Sammy’s FY2023/3 investor presentation gave earlier, dated worldwide snapshots: more than 3.2 million units for Sonic Frontiers and more than 1.7 million for Persona 5 Royal (Remaster), both as of the end of March 2023. The second figure is specifically for the remaster, while the reported 2025 table labels its 7.25 million entry as Persona 5 Royal including the remaster version. Sega Sammy’s FY2023/3 summer report likewise said Sonic Frontiers had sold over 3.2 million units worldwide as of March 31, 2023. It described the game as launching worldwide on multiple platforms in November 2022 and outlined a planned free update at that time. Why some later Sega games are missing
Metaphor: ReFantazio and Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii are among the titles absent from the 11-game list, according to TechTimes. That outlet relayed a possible release-timing explanation, but the reason for the omissions has not been confirmed.
