Wizards’ original preorder announcement named local game stores, TCGplayer, Amazon, and other Magic sellers, but official information does not establish which retailers have stock or what they charge now. Treat preorder listings and early supply warnings as historical, and check the specific retailer and region before spending.
Is Secrets of Strixhaven still available for preorder?
No: the tabletop set released on April 24, 2026, so preorder information is historical rather than evidence of an active preorder. Wizards originally said the set could be preordered through local game stores, TCGplayer, Amazon, and other Magic sellers. That announcement does not confirm that any of those listings remain open or stocked today. See Wizards’ Secrets of Strixhaven collecting guide for product information; check each seller directly for current inventory and checkout price.
The related release dates were April 17–23 for Prerelease events, April 21 for MTG Arena, and May 15 for the Codex Bundle. All have passed as of October 8, 2026. Wizards identifies Strixhaven: Omens of Chaos, a novel by Seanan McGuire, as released April 7, 2026; first-edition hardcover copies include a traditional foil retro-frame Command Tower promo. Current bookstore stock is not established.
What is known about restocks?
Wizards announced on March 31, 2026 that a production issue could cause shortages of Commander decks and Bundles in North America on Prerelease weekend. It expected full Commander deck allocations to reach stores in the following week or two. Bundles, except Codex Bundles, were unlikely to be available on Prerelease weekend and were expected to begin arriving around the April 24 release weekend. Those were early-release forecasts, not confirmation of a later or current restock. Wizards advised: “Please be sure to check with your local game store for availability.”

For a useful availability check, look at the exact product and seller listing, confirm the shipping region and delivery terms, and verify the total price at checkout.
Which Secrets of Strixhaven product fits your budget and use?
These products are not interchangeable: a Play Booster is a sealed booster, Commander decks are ready-to-play 100-card decks, and Bundles and Draft Night package multiple items for different uses. The table lists the contents or purpose described by Wizards and its published MSRP. MSRP is the publisher’s suggested retail price from 2026, not a current offer or guaranteed retailer price.

How to check a listing before buying
- Choose the format first. Decide whether you want boosters, a ready-to-play Commander deck, a Bundle, or a group draft kit; contents and intended use differ.
- Confirm the listing is for this set and product. Compare the product name and contents with Wizards’ lineup rather than relying on a broad “Strixhaven” search result.
- Check seller, region, and fulfillment. Verify who is selling the item, whether it ships to your location, and whether the listing is for a sealed product.
- Compare the checkout total, not only the headline price. Include shipping, taxes, and any other charges shown by the retailer. Published MSRP is historical guidance, not a promise that today’s price will match it.
- For local availability, contact the store. Ask whether the item is physically in stock and whether it can be reserved; Wizards specifically directed customers to local game stores for availability during the earlier supply issue.
What the available information does—and does not—confirm
- Confirmed: tabletop release was April 24, 2026; the original preorder channels included local game stores, TCGplayer, Amazon, and other Magic sellers.
- Confirmed: Wizards forecast a North American supply disruption for Commander decks and Bundles around Prerelease and release in March 2026.
- Not confirmed: current October inventory, a new restock, active preorder listings, or current prices at any retailer.
Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply.
