On October 2, 2026, the SEC approved a Cboe BZX Exchange rule change covering VS Trust products that include a 3x Ether product. A TechBullion article the next day reported that Pepeto’s presale had topped $11 million, but the figure and the project’s related claims were not independently verified in the official materials reviewed.
What did the SEC approve?
The SEC order approved Cboe BZX Exchange’s proposed rule change, filed August 10, 2026, under BZX Rule 14.11(e)(4), which covers Commodity-Based Trust Shares. The proposal concerns listing and trading shares of six VS Trust series, including products identified as a 3x Ether ETF and a 3x Bitcoin ETF. The SEC’s newsroom also lists the order on October 2, 2026.
This is an exchange-listing rule approval. It is not an SEC recommendation, a finding that the products are suitable for any particular investor, or a guarantee of returns. The order establishes the regulatory action, not the products’ investment merits.
Does SEC approval mean the 3x Ether product is trading?
No trading start date is established by the order. Approval of the proposed listing framework does not, by itself, confirm that shares began trading. Before treating the product as available, check for a separate launch notice and a live listing from the exchange or issuer.
#1 Best Overall
The TechBullion article describes the products as using CME futures and targeting triple daily moves. That is the article’s description; the SEC order’s opening and headline establish the product names and exchange action, but do not verify those mechanics. Confirm the daily objective and exposure method in the issuer’s current disclosure documents.
What does “3x” mean for an investor?
If a fund seeks three times an underlying asset’s move for each trading day, that is a daily objective—not a promise to deliver three times the asset’s return over a longer holding period. Daily gains and losses compound against a changing fund value, so the result over multiple days can differ substantially from three times Ether’s cumulative move. Volatility can make that difference more pronounced.

Before comparing leveraged products, use issuer disclosures to check the daily objective, benchmark or exposure, fees, holding-period effects and actual trading status. The SEC order does not provide comparative fee or performance data.

TechBullion’s October 3, 2026 article reported that Pepeto’s presale had raised more than $11 million. The figure is a report by that publication, not an independently verified fundraising metric in the official materials reviewed.

The same article discusses PepetoSwap, a token scanner, staking, token pricing, an alleged completed audit and expected exchange listings. Those are article or project claims; the available official materials do not independently establish the services’ performance, trading volume, security properties, staking terms or yield, audit scope, or future listings. Treat them as unverified rather than as confirmed product features or outcomes.

What should readers verify before acting on either story?
- For the 3x Ether product: Confirm that trading has commenced, then read the issuer’s current disclosure for its objective, exposure, fees and risks. Do not infer longer-term returns from a daily multiple.
- For Pepeto: Look for independently verifiable evidence of fundraising and the specific product or audit claims. A reported presale total or anticipated listing is not proof of future value, security, or trading access.
