SBI’s Circle Based Officer (CBO) registration for the 2025-26 recruitment is closed. The official application window ran from 9 May to 29 May 2025; the State Bank of India (SBI) now lists the recruitment advertisement among candidate marks, not as an open application. Is SBI CBO registration 2025 still open?
No. SBI scheduled online registration and fee payment from 9 May through 29 May 2025 for Advertisement No. CRPD/CBO/2025-26/03. That deadline has passed. The notice said an application was complete only when the fee was paid online by the last payment date.
SBI’s careers page now lists the advertisement under candidate marks, confirming that the 2025 recruitment is no longer an open application announcement: SBI current openings and recruitment information.
How many vacancies did SBI announce?
The 2025-26 advertisement listed 2,600 Circle Based Officer vacancies. SBI described the vacancies as provisional and said the number could change according to the Bank’s requirements. The figure is the total in SBI’s notice, not a guarantee of the final number of appointments.

What did the selection process involve?
SBI described four stages: an online examination, screening, an interview, and a local language proficiency test. The notice required candidates to apply for one Circle only; selection and merit lists were Circle-wise and category-wise, and selected candidates were to be posted in the Circle for which they were selected.
Circle choice and local language
The chosen Circle determined the specified local language requirement. Candidates needed proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding that language. Provisionally selected candidates were to take a language test before joining, unless they supplied class 10 or 12 mark-sheet or certificate evidence that they had studied the chosen language.
