Which provinces qualified for the Fizz 25% discount?
MobileSyrup’s March 16, 2026 report said the Discovery discount applied to new Fizz Mobile activations in Ontario, Manitoba, Alberta and British Columbia. Quebec was excluded. Those are the terms reported for that campaign, not confirmation that it is still available.
Fizz distinguishes the areas where customers can subscribe from the coverage zone selected for a plan. Its help information lists mobile service in Quebec, Ontario, Manitoba, Alberta and British Columbia, but an address must be eligible for subscription. The coverage choice also affects where calls and texts are included. Check your address and destinations on Fizz’s coverage information rather than assuming that province alone determines eligibility.
How long did the Fizz Discovery discount last?
MobileSyrup reported that the discount was 25% for 12 months, starting when the SIM was activated. It was described as continuing for the rest of that 12-month period if a customer changed plans, then expiring so the plan returned to its regular price. The report gave no promotion end date. These are the March 2026 campaign terms; confirm the duration, activation deadline and post-discount price in the live checkout.

What does Fizz currently list instead?
Fizz’s offers page, accessed October 8, 2026, listed 15 GB for $32/month, 40 GB for $35/month and 100 GB for $45/month. These current listed offers do not establish that the earlier Discovery discount is active. The page also advertises up to 75% off a mobile plan for 24 months with a selected phone identified by a purple stamp, and a $25 referral discount on the third monthly payment after activation of a first Fizz plan with a referral code. What to verify before activating
- Confirm eligibility: Enter your address in Fizz’s live plan builder and check that the offer appears for your location and selected plan.
- Check the plan configuration: Compare the data allowance and whether the coverage is provincial, Canada-wide or Canada/U.S. with the places you actually call, text and travel.
- Read the promotion terms: Verify the activation deadline, when the discount begins, how long it lasts and whether a plan change affects it.
- Record the regular price: Check the amount billed after the promotion expires so you can compare the ongoing cost, not just the introductory price.
- Distinguish plan offers from phone offers: If you are bringing your own device, evaluate the plan on its own; a phone-linked discount is a separate offer with its own conditions.
Fizz’s help content says, “Our plans are flexible and we don’t do fixed-term contracts.” That does not replace checking the specific offer terms and the price that will apply after a discount ends.
