Lotterywest described it as the second time in 2026 that one Western Australian ticket had secured the entire Saturday Lotto jackpot. That is a notable run of wins, not proof that WA won Division One in consecutive weekly draws.
What happened in the September Saturday Lotto win?
Lotterywest said the Bassendean woman bought her ticket at Galleria Lottery Centre, checked it there on Sunday and later claimed the prize at Lotterywest’s Winners Room. She told Lotterywest she had checked the ticket repeatedly because she could hardly believe she had matched all six winning numbers.
In Lotterywest’s interview, she said she planned to buy the home she had long rented, get cars for her sister and niece, visit Derby and donate to Vinnies. These are plans she shared with Lotterywest, not independently verified details. Lotterywest’s 22 September release reported the $6.39 million claim.
Does WA have a Saturday Lotto winning streak?
Lotterywest called the September result the second sole-ticket Saturday Lotto jackpot win in WA during 2026. On 20 July, it reported another WA ticket had taken the entire Division One jackpot; the release described that prize as more than $6.1 million near the top and $6.2 million later. The differing rounded figures do not establish a more precise amount.

The two reported wins support describing 2026 as a notable year for WA sole-ticket jackpots. They do not show that WA won Division One in every consecutive Saturday draw. Lotterywest’s July release said that, in the five years before that announcement, only 10 Saturday Lotto draws had a single ticket take the full Division One prize. That makes a sole-ticket jackpot unusual, but it does not alter the odds of a future draw.
How Saturday Lotto numbers and prizes work
Lotterywest’s game information describes a draw of eight numbers from 45: the first six are winning numbers and the final two are supplementary numbers. Division One requires matching all six winning numbers. A standard game has stated odds of 1 in 8,145,060 for Division One and 1 in 42 of winning any prize; those figures apply per standard game, not as a prediction for an individual player. Lotterywest says the minimum entry is four games and Saturday draws close at 6:00pm. See Lotterywest’s Saturday Lotto rules and game information.

Lotterywest says no skill or strategy increases the chance of winning: “You buy just that, a chance to win, not a guarantee.” A recent cluster of WA winners is not evidence that the next draw is more likely to produce another WA winner.

- Let's face it you don't want to give someone a winning scratch off ticket that shows they won a million dollars on it, you would probably lose friends and family if you did that. We heard your complaints and made our winning amounts 10k and 50k. That allows you to choose between the good, the bad, but not the ugly.
- Includes a total of 8 tickets. You will get 4 of the "Big Time Millions" design, and 4 of the "Jackpot Jubilee" design. The "Big time Millions" is a guaranteed $50,000 winner, the "Jackpot Jubilee" is a guaranteed $10,000 winner. In addition to those winning amounts, each ticket also wins an additional $30 for the top game.
- Each ticket measures 8 x 4 inches and includes 2 separate games per ticket. The back is very realistic but also has plenty of info telling them it's fake after they read the fine print, it's hidden enough to fool just about anyone. We didn't just phone in the back text either, the back alone is a crack up.
- Printed using HRP Technology (Hyper Realistic Printing). Some other tickets look ok on the front but once you see the back you can see how fake they look. Compare the front and especially the back of ours to anybody else's, you can see we went that extra mile on our design for both sides. Includes barcodes and scan codes just like the real thing. For the final touch we also added perforation on the top and bottom for that real lottery ticket feel
- Makes a great gift idea. Great for parties, social gathering, work / office parties, holidays, birthdays and any other special occasion. Also great for when you are just hanging out with friends.
