Which ships were announced for the 2025 expansion?
PerthNow reported on 17 July 2024 that MS Romantic Star and MS Katarina would be added to Sail Croatia’s Elegance offering for 2025. The report said the additions would bring the Elegance fleet to five luxury small ships. Sail Croatia’s current Elegance page lists five vessels: Romantic Star, Queen Jelena, Olimp, Esperanza and Katarina. The current roster does not establish which ships operated particular 2025 departures.
MS Romantic Star
The 2024 announcement described Romantic Star as a 47-metre ship built in 2016, with capacity for 36 passengers in 18 ensuite cabins. These are details reported in connection with the planned 2025 expansion, not a guarantee of current configurations.
MS Katarina
Sail Croatia’s current vessel profile describes Katarina as a deluxe super-yacht operating on Elegance cruises. The profile lists a length of 45 metres, capacity for 36 passengers, 18 cabins and a 2025 refit. These are current profile details; they do not identify Katarina’s historical sailing dates or confirm its deployment on a particular 2025 itinerary.

How many departures were planned?
The announcement coverage reported 119 planned Elegance departures for 2025, described as 60% more than in 2024. This was a company plan reported by PerthNow, not an independently audited statistic or confirmation of the final number of sailings. The report did not establish that all planned departures ultimately operated.
What Sail Croatia said about the ships
Helle Seuren, Sail Croatia co-founder and director, said: “I have no doubt they will prove a popular choice for 2025. Katarina has already made a strong debut on our Explorer cruises this year, with guests marvelling at her luxurious furnishings and high customer service standards onboard.” This was the company’s view at the time of the announcement.
