Dana Berg, CEO of SADA, died over the weekend before July 7, 2025, according to CRN; SADA and its parent company, Insight, also confirmed his death in public statements. Tributes from the companies praised his leadership, while his wife, Stephanie, described him as “brilliant, kind, loving” and her “perfect person.”

Dana Berg’s path to leading SADA

Berg joined SADA as chief operating officer in 2018 and became CEO in October 2024, succeeding Tony Safoian, CRN reported. His appointment put him at the head of a company that CRN described as having more than 800 employees worldwide. CRN also reported that Insight acquired SADA for $410 million; those figures are company context reported by CRN, not independently validated figures.

In January 2025, Berg spoke to CRN about colleagues helping coworkers affected by the Los Angeles wildfires. “This is when humanity really starts to impress you, when you see the good in us,” he said.

How SADA and Insight remembered him

SADA’s statement connected Berg’s leadership to company culture and customer success. “Dana’s vision was built on a simple, powerful principle: Our success is a direct reflection of our culture and our customers’ success,” the company said. It added that he believed SADA’s purpose was to be “the best possible partner” to customers and help them navigate major technology transformations.

Titan: The Life of John D. Rockefeller, Sr.
  • From the acclaimed, award-winning author of Alexander Hamilton: here is the essential, endlessly engrossing biography of John D. Rockefeller, Sr.—the Jekyll-and-Hyde of American capitalism.
  • In the course of his nearly 98 years, Rockefeller was known as both a rapacious robber baron, whose Standard Oil Company rode roughshod over an industry, and a philanthropist who donated money lavishly to universities and medical centers.
  • He was the terror of his competitors, the bogeyman of reformers, the delight of caricaturists—and an utter enigma.
