The exact-headline result, dated March 5, 2025, says Ryanair would remove service at Brive, Bergerac and Strasbourg during the winter period. What Ryanair says is behind the changes
The explanations below are the airline’s stated reasons, not independent findings. For the Azores, Ryanair cited airport fees, higher air-traffic-control charges and a €2 travel tax. For Riga, it cited Latvian aviation taxes and increasing air-traffic-control charges. For Greece, it cited airport charges and said a government airport-fee reduction had not been passed on to airlines. For Berlin, it cited airport fees and Germany’s aviation tax. The available 2025 headline summary attributed the broader French reductions to an increase in the air ticket tax.

A headline about an airport can conceal a route-specific cut, an off-season pause or a base closure. Before making plans, check the dates and itinerary shown in your booking, then confirm the flight directly with Ryanair. If your plans rely on a particular airport or connection, look for an alternative route and review the applicable booking terms rather than assuming a change at one airport means every Ryanair flight there has ended.
