Ryan Reynolds’ Net Worth: What the $350 Million Estimate Includes

Ryan Reynolds’ net worth is commonly estimated at $350 million, but major company deals do not reveal his personal proceeds. Here’s what public reporting establishes.

Ryan Reynolds’ net worth is commonly estimated at $350 million, but that is a published estimate—not a verified personal balance sheet. Celebrity Net Worth listed that figure in an update dated May 21, 2026, and Investormint also published a $350 million estimate for 2026. Neither figure establishes Reynolds’ exact assets, debts, taxes, or retained company interests.

The headline business deals behind his wealth story—Aviation Gin’s sale for up to $610 million and Mint Mobile’s acquisition for up to $1.35 billion—were company transaction values, not confirmed amounts paid to Reynolds. His personal proceeds are not fully public.

How reliable is the $350 million estimate?

Celebrity Net Worth estimates Reynolds’ net worth at $350 million in its May 21, 2026 update. Investormint also gives a $350 million estimate for 2026. These are secondary estimates, not disclosures from Reynolds or audited statements. The available sources do not provide a complete current accounting of his assets and liabilities or the after-tax proceeds he retained from business deals.

That distinction matters: net worth is the value of a person’s assets minus liabilities, while a company’s sale price, an annual acting-income figure, or a club’s valuation measures something different. Public reporting supports a broad picture of wealth built through entertainment work and business ventures, but it does not verify an exact personal total.

What did Ryan Reynolds make from Mint Mobile?

T-Mobile announced in March 2023 that it would acquire Mint Mobile’s parent company in a transaction valued at up to $1.35 billion. That is the maximum announced deal value for the company, not Reynolds’ personal payout. CBS MoneyWatch, citing Fortune, reported that Reynolds owned about 25% of Mint. CBS also noted that Reynolds had described his stake as a “pretty large chunk” in a CNBC interview without specifying a percentage.

CBS estimated at the time that Reynolds could receive more than $300 million. That was a potential payout estimate, not confirmation of the amount he ultimately received. A reported ownership share multiplied by a maximum headline price cannot establish personal proceeds: deal terms, payment structure, any retained interests, taxes, and timing affect what an owner actually realizes.

Reynolds described the growth and marketing effort in a March 15, 2023 post reproduced by CBS: “Mint wasn’t an obvious next step after Aviation Gin. Low-cost wireless isn’t glamorous. Yet, in the 3+ years, Mint Mobile grew exponentially and Maximum Effort has grown to over 40 people from 3.”

How much did he make from Aviation Gin?

Diageo bought Aviation Gin in 2020 in a deal reported by TIME at up to $610 million. Celebrity Net Worth reports that $335 million was paid upfront and says Reynolds was believed to own 20% of the company. The ownership figure is an estimate, and the $335 million is reported cash consideration for the deal—not a disclosed payment to Reynolds personally. The total potential deal value likewise should not be treated as his proceeds.

Reynolds invested in the gin brand and used Maximum Effort’s marketing work to promote it. TIME reported that Aviation’s volume rose 100% in the year after his investment. That reported increase gives context to the brand’s trajectory; it does not establish that advertising alone caused the growth.

Fast Company also connected Aviation Gin’s advertising to its sale. The deal helped make Reynolds’ business activity prominent in coverage of his wealth, but public reporting does not establish his final after-tax share.

How do film and television earnings compare with the business deals?

Acting and producing provided a major source of income before and alongside Reynolds’ investments. CBS, citing Forbes, reported that he earned about $70 million in 2020, largely from film and entertainment, and that his compensation per film was around $20 million. Those are historical, reported figures for a particular period—not a recurring annual salary, a current earnings rate, or a net-worth calculation.

Film compensation is income from work; a business acquisition price is the value of a company transaction. Neither can be added directly to a net-worth estimate without knowing expenses, taxes, ownership terms, and what remains invested or held.

What other ventures are part of his portfolio?

TIME lists Wrexham AFC, 1Password, and Maximum Effort among Reynolds’ investments and ventures. The available reporting does not establish current verified personal values for those holdings, so they help describe the breadth of his portfolio but cannot be assigned a reliable dollar contribution to his net worth.

Wrexham AFC

Reynolds and Rob McElhenney co-own the football club. TIME reported that Wrexham earned promotion to the Championship in 2025. In February 2026, Sporting News, citing Bloomberg, reported a club valuation of £350 million ($475 million). That is a valuation of Wrexham as a club, not Reynolds’ personal equity value or cash wealth. His precise percentage, associated liabilities, and any personal sale proceeds are not established in the cited coverage.

Maximum Effort and other investments

Maximum Effort is Reynolds’ production and marketing operation, associated with creative promotion and cross-promotion across ventures. TIME also names 1Password as an investment. The available sources do not give current verified values for these holdings. TIME quoted Reynolds on his advertising approach: “Consumers know they’re being marketed to, so acknowledge it.”

Why the $14 billion company figure is not his net worth

TIME reported in 2025 that, according to Forbes, companies Reynolds co-owns or has sold had a combined value above $14 billion. That aggregate is not a valuation of Reynolds’ personal fortune. It combines company values, and does not show what share he owns, what proceeds he received, what he still holds, or what liabilities and taxes apply.

The same distinction applies to the major exits: Aviation Gin’s up-to-$610-million deal value and Mint Mobile’s up-to-$1.35-billion transaction value describe company deals. They do not establish Reynolds’ personal cash proceeds or current net worth.
