RSSB’s revised Livestock Assistant recruitment listed 2,540 posts in total: 2,252 for non-scheduled areas and 288 for scheduled areas. The application deadline reported for the 2025 recruitment was 1 March 2025, and RSSB says the examination took place on 13 June 2025. What changed in the vacancy count?
The figure of 2,252 refers only to the revised non-scheduled-area vacancies. The full revised count was 2,540, including 288 scheduled-area posts, according to RSSB’s later notice.

The original distribution comes from RSSB’s detailed advertisement as reproduced by Rajasthan Rojgar Sandesh. RSSB’s later notice records the revised distribution and says the examination was held on 13 June 2025 (RSSB notice).
Are RSSB Livestock Assistant applications still open?
No. Scroll reported 1 March 2025 as the application deadline on 17 February 2025. RSSB subsequently set a permitted form-correction window from 30 June through 9 July 2025, with a ₹300 correction charge. Both windows have passed. The recruitment should not be treated as accepting new applications.

How candidates applied at the time
The original detailed advertisement directed candidates to RSSB’s Recruitment Advertisement page and its Apply Online link, or to sign in through Rajasthan SSO and open the Recruitment Portal. Candidates who had not completed One Time Registration (OTR) were instructed to complete it first. This describes the process for the historical application window, not a current route to apply. The advertisement also placed responsibility for errors in an application on the candidate.
Eligibility and fees reported for the 2025 notice
Scroll’s 17 February 2025 summary reported these requirements and fees. The accessible RSSB notice excerpts do not independently establish all these particulars, so consult the official advertisement for exact retrospective wording.

- Age: 18–40 years as of 1 January 2026, with upper-age relaxations for reserved categories, according to Scroll.
