What the 2024 RPSC SI Telecom notice covered
The recruitment was the Rajasthan Public Service Commission’s Sub Inspector (Telecom) Combined Competitive Examination 2024, Advertisement 20/2024-25. Scroll reported 98 posts and the application dates in its 21 November 2024 notice summary. The title refers specifically to Telecom; it should not be read as a notice covering every Rajasthan Police Sub Inspector cadre.
Reported eligibility requirements
The details below were reported by Scroll. Because the underlying official advertisement text was not available here, use the RPSC notice for authoritative eligibility rules, equivalency decisions and category-specific conditions.
Age
Scroll reported an age range of 20 to 25 years as of 1 January 2025, with upper-age relaxations for eligible reserved-category candidates. The applicable category rules and any other conditions must be checked in the official advertisement.

Education
Scroll described two education routes:
- A BSc with Physics and Mathematics from a recognized university, or a degree declared equivalent by the government.
- A BE, BTech or equivalent degree in Telecommunications, Electronics or Electrical Engineering from a university established by law in India, or another degree declared equivalent by the government.
Applicants needed to match one of these routes and satisfy the notice’s full conditions. The reported summary alone does not establish whether a particular qualification is accepted as equivalent.
Application dates and fees reported for the archived notice
Applications were reported to be submitted through the RPSC website from 28 November to 27 December 2024. The deadline has passed.
Scroll reported these application fees; confirm the exact category treatment in the official advertisement:
| Category as reported by Scroll | Reported fee |
|---|---|
| Unreserved candidates and creamy-layer BC/OBC candidates | ₹600 |
| Listed reserved categories and persons with disabilities | ₹400 |
Selection process and later recruitment activity
Rajasthan Police identifies RPSC as the recruiting authority for Sub Inspector recruitment and describes the general process as a written test, physical efficiency test and RPSC interview. That general overview is not a substitute for the Telecom advertisement’s exact selection rules; consult the applicable notice for its exam stages and requirements. See the Rajasthan Police recruitment information.

The Rajasthan Recruitment Portal describes the broader state recruitment sequence, including application, examination, answer key, document verification, results, medical screening, police verification and appointment. Rajasthan Police’s site listing also included an original-document-verification update for Sub Inspector (Telecommunication) 2024. These are signs of later process activity, not proof of a particular candidate’s status or a final outcome.
Where to check for current opportunities
This 2024 application window is closed. Anyone seeking a current Rajasthan Police or RPSC opening should check the latest official RPSC and Rajasthan Police notices rather than rely on the archived 2024 dates or eligibility summary. The Rajasthan Police recruitment page directs candidates to the relevant recruitment advertisement for the rules that apply.
