RPSC’s 2024 Senior Scientific Officer (SSO) application window closed on January 17, 2025, according to a December 19, 2024 report by Scroll.in. The recruitment covered 14 posts across eight forensic divisions. “SSO” here means Senior Scientific Officer—not Rajasthan’s Single Sign-On account. For any later recruitment, use the current notice from the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) as the authority.
How the 2024 application worked
Applicants were directed to RPSC’s website or the state Recruitment Portal. RPSC’s applicant manual describes the portal route through Rajasthan SSO:
- Open the Rajasthan SSO portal and sign in, or register if you do not already have an account.
- From the SSO dashboard, choose the Recruitment Portal app.
- On the Recruitment Portal dashboard, locate the Senior Scientific Officer 2024 application link.
- Complete the application form and pay the applicable examination fee.
- Submit the application and keep a printout for your records.
The Rajasthan Recruitment Portal is the state’s unified portal for recruitment and applications. Its current listings concern later recruitment activity; the 2024 application link should not be treated as an open application opportunity.

Eligibility and fees reported in 2024
Scroll.in reported an age range of 21 to 40 years as of January 1, 2026, with upper-age relaxation for reserved categories. It also reported examination fees of ₹600 for General/Unreserved applicants and ₹400 for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD and other reserved-category candidates.
