The application deadline for Rashtriya Indian Military College’s July 2025 Class VIII admission term was 10 October 2024, after an extension—not tomorrow. The entrance examination was scheduled for 1 December 2024. Both dates have passed, so the old alert is not an invitation to apply now. For the current December 2026 examination cycle, which is for the July 2027 term, use RIMC’s current online application instructions.
What the July 2025 deadline alert meant
The phrase “deadline tomorrow” came from a Scroll.in report dated 9 October 2024. It referred to applications for the July 2025 Class VIII term and said the deadline had been extended through 10 October 2024. The same report gave 1 December 2024 as the scheduled entrance-examination date. That exam date, like the application deadline, is historical. It cannot be used as a date for a later RIMC admission cycle.
Who could apply for the July 2025 term
For that cycle, the contemporaneous report said applicants had to be studying in Class VII or have passed Class VII. A Delhi Directorate of Education notice for the same term states the same basic educational qualification, assessed at the time of admission. How to apply for the current RIMC cycle
RIMC’s prospectus sets a different application route from the December 2026 examination cycle onward, for admission to the July 2027 term. Candidates register and apply online through the National Testing Agency (NTA) portal and upload the prescribed documents; the prospectus says a hard-copy application is not required. RIMC’s official home page says registration for the December 2026 examination has started. Follow the live prospectus and portal rather than copying the 2024 deadline or paperwork directions. Check age eligibility in the applicable prospectus
For the December 2026 examination cycle onward, the RIMC prospectus states an age range of 12½ to 14 years for the July 2027 term. This is a later-cycle rule and should not be applied retroactively to July 2025. Consult the current prospectus for the applicable birth-date limits and any other eligibility conditions.

RIMC application procedures and dates are cycle-specific. A later notice for the December 2025 exam cycle, for example, routed applications through respective State Governments and listed supporting documents such as birth and domicile certificates, applicable caste certificate, school certificate, Aadhaar photocopy and photographs. That notice describes its own cycle; it does not establish the exact process for every state in the July 2025 cycle or replace the online NTA route announced for December 2026 onward. Verify the current cycle’s deadline, channel, eligibility and document list in its official notice.
In particular, do not rely on 2024 mailing addresses, fees or deadlines as current instructions. The July 2025 notices do not establish all state-by-state routing, fee variations or exceptions for late submissions.
