The recruitment has progressed through its result and final answer keys, document verification, and appointment/posting updates, so there is no way to apply to this cycle now. For a future recruitment, use the latest notices and application portal published by the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC); the steps below describe the general workflow in its March 2024 One Time Registration manual, not an open application.
Can you still apply for RPSC Programmer Exam 2024?
No. RPSC’s result index lists the Programmer Exam 2024 result and cutoff dated 23 June 2025, and its Programmer papers and answer-key index shows final answer keys dated 18 July 2025. The Rajasthan Department of Information Technology & Communication’s Programmer Exam 2024 page records document-verification activity in 2025 and an appointment/posting list dated 29 September 2026. These are recruitment updates, not an invitation to submit a new application. See the RPSC results index, RPSC Programmer papers and answer-key index, and Rajasthan DoIT&C Programmer Exam 2024 page.
How the RPSC application process generally works
RPSC’s One Time Registration (OTR) manual, last updated in March 2024, describes the broad steps candidates used to submit an application. Portal wording and screens can change, so for a future recruitment follow the current on-screen instructions and the specific advertisement.
- Register or sign in. Open the RPSC application portal and complete One Time Registration if required, or sign in to your existing account.
- Select the examination. In the application area, choose the relevant examination and recruitment from the options available.
- Complete the application and fee steps. Enter the requested information and complete the payment process shown by the portal. The OTR manual does not replace the recruitment advertisement’s eligibility, deadline, or fee rules.
- Check the submission status. Confirm that an Application ID has been generated and that the fee status has updated. The manual says, “An Application ID will be generated and Fee status will be updated then.”
- Save the submitted form. Open the examination under “My Applications” to view or download the submitted application, and keep a copy for your records.
These general instructions come from the RPSC One Time Registration Manual. Having reached a confirmation screen alone is not a substitute for checking the Application ID and fee status.

What the 2024 exam scheme required
The following details apply to the historical 2024 examination scheme in RPSC’s recruitment advertisement; they are not a promise that a future Programmer recruitment will use the same pattern.
| Paper | Marks | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Paper I | 100 | 2 hours |
| Paper II | 100 | 2 hours |
Candidates had to appear in both papers. The advertisement set a minimum qualifying aggregate of 40% for the written examination and 36% for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates; it also allowed the commission or appointing authority to award up to three grace marks in aggregate. These are written-exam provisions, not a complete description of every selection requirement. Check the official RPSC recruitment advertisement and syllabus for the full terms.

What the Programmer syllabus covered
The 2024 syllabus included the following broad areas:
- Reasoning, numerical analysis, and general knowledge and current affairs relating to India and Rajasthan.
- Database management systems, relational and object-oriented data models, normalization, and SQL.
- Data communication and computer networks.
- System analysis and design.
- Software lifecycle, testing, maintenance, and project management.
- Programming concepts, including Java, JSP, RMI, applets and servlets, and .NET.
RPSC cautioned that the syllabus outline was for general guidance and was not exhaustive. Consult the official syllabus rather than treating this list as a complete topic-by-topic checklist.

Where to find official preparation material
RPSC’s official index provides Programmer 2024 question papers and answer-key material; its final answer-key listings are dated 18 July 2025. These free official papers are a useful starting point for understanding the exam’s questions. Compare any optional book or guide with the official syllabus and check whether it contains the relevant papers and explained answers; a paid resource is not required to apply. Use the RPSC papers and answer-key index alongside the official syllabus.

For a later Programmer recruitment, rely on the current RPSC notice for the application opening and closing dates, eligibility, fees, and any corrections to the advertisement. Do not assume the 2024 process or exam scheme carries forward unchanged. The OTR manual explains the portal workflow; the recruitment notice controls the specific requirements for that cycle.
