It also described financing interest as non-binding and conditional—not secured funding. The schedules and operational milestones below are forecasts and statements made in that July announcement, not confirmation of the project’s status today.
What Rox reported about dewatering
Rox Resources said dewatering at Youanmi Main and United North was progressing ahead of schedule. Its 8 July 2025 announcement reported United North pumping at more than 40 litres per second and Youanmi Main pumping at more than 100 litres per second.

These figures and timelines were company-reported in the 8 July 2025 ASX announcement. A later release dated 3 September 2025 said United North pit dewatering was complete and a major environmental clearing permit had been obtained; underground mining approval remained under review at that time. That later update does not establish current project status. Rox’s 3 September 2025 announcement is a dated follow-up, not a present-day status check.
What the reported drill results show—and do not show
Rox reported intersections at Youanmi Main, Prospect and Pollard. The intervals below are exploration results attributed to the company; they are not production figures or proof of commercial outcomes.

The same release said RXDD208 showed continuity north of the then-current resource. Rox’s reported grades and geological interpretations do not by themselves establish mine economics, recoverable production or a project valuation.
Was project financing secured?
No. Rox said it had received credit-endorsed, non-binding expressions of interest from Australian and international banks and mining financiers. The company said interest exceeded projected capital costs, but responses were contingent on satisfactory due diligence and approvals. Expressions of interest are not committed financing, and the announcement did not say funding had been completed.

What was planned for the DFS and early works?
Rox said all major workstreams for the definitive feasibility study (DFS) had been awarded, metallurgical test work was advancing, early works were underway, and a contract had been issued for camp expansion. Its July 2025 schedule forecast DFS delivery in Q4 2025 and a Final Investment Decision shortly afterward. Those were plans stated at the time; the July release does not confirm that either milestone occurred.

How to read the update as an investor
The announcement is a dated company update about project development and exploration, not a statement of guaranteed returns or a complete basis for an investment decision. Its main distinctions matter: operational progress and drill results were company-reported, funding interest remained conditional, and key development milestones were still forecasts. Readers assessing the project’s present position should use a current company or ASX announcement rather than treating July’s timeline as current.
Rox attributed this characterization of activity to Managing Director and CEO Phill Wilding: “There has been a flurry of activity at our flagship Youanmi Gold Project in recent weeks, from significant progress in dewatering, awarding of all contracts for the DFS, and ongoing positive results from metallurgical test work.”
