Some Rogers mobile customers who received a price-change notice are being charged up to $5 more per month, plus tax. The reported adjustment appears on bills dated on or after July 15, 2026, as Wireless Plan Rate Adjustment under Monthly Charges. It is not established as a price increase for every Rogers customer or plan.
What Rogers customers were told
MobileSyrup reproduced a notice shown on a customer’s Rogers bill. It says the customer’s wireless plan fee would increase by $5 per month, plus tax, beginning with the next bill on or after July 15, 2026. The notice says the charge will appear as a separate line under Monthly Charges called “Wireless Plan Rate Adjustment,” while the rest of the wireless services remain the same.
MobileSyrup also reported that some customers saw a $4 increase. Its reporting does not establish how many customers are affected, identify every affected plan, or show that all Rogers mobile customers will see the adjustment. Check your own notice and bill rather than assuming the $5 amount applies to your account.
How to check whether the adjustment is on your bill
- Open your Rogers bill and review the Monthly Charges section for “Wireless Plan Rate Adjustment.”
- Compare the line item and its effective date with any price-change notice you received. Check the amount and tax separately.
- Use the billing section in MyRogers to examine a higher charge. Rogers notes that plan changes made during a billing period can also result in partial charges, so review the bill details before attributing every increase to this adjustment.

What the CRTC has—and has not—said
A June 23, 2026 letter from Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) staff says the regulator had been informed that Rogers planned the $5 monthly adjustment and had notified mobile customers through a note on their billing statements. The letter raises questions about compliance with the Wireless Code. It is an inquiry, not a final CRTC finding or ruling that the increase does or does not comply with the Code. The letter is available from the CRTC.
Does Rogers’ five-year price guarantee protect you?
Not automatically. Rogers says its five-year monthly price guarantee is for new customers with an eligible 5G+ Ultimate plan and existing customers who switch to an eligible plan. The guarantee applies to the plan price, including ongoing discounts, while the customer stays on that same plan and continues to meet requirements such as keeping Auto-Pay if receiving an Auto-Pay discount. Limited-duration discounts can still expire.

Whether the guarantee applies to a particular account—and how it interacts with a notice already received—depends on that customer’s plan and eligibility. Rogers’ FAQ does not establish that every customer facing this adjustment is protected. Review the terms for your plan in Rogers’ five-year price guarantee FAQ or ask Rogers to confirm your eligibility.

- Coverage where you live, work and travel.
- Included data, speed terms and any roaming or other features you rely on.
- Costs or conditions involved in changing plans, including any device financing you would need to settle.
A lower advertised plan price is not necessarily cheaper overall if it lacks a feature you use or changes your device costs. The available reporting does not identify a universally best alternative, so compare offers and terms for your location and account before making a decision.
