Roblox DevEx lets eligible creators exchange qualifying Earned Robux for money, but a Robux balance is not automatically cashable. As of October 8, 2026, Roblox’s standard rates are $0.0038 per eligible Robux earned on or after September 5, 2025, at 10 a.m. PT, and $0.0035 for eligible Robux earned before that cutoff. The estimate is gross: Roblox reviews each cash-out request, and payment fees, currency conversion, and taxes can affect what you ultimately receive.
How much is my Robux worth in real money?
For the standard DevEx rates published by Roblox, the answer depends on when the Robux were earned—not simply how many are in the account. Roblox’s help information, accessed October 8, 2026, lists these rates:

These are gross calculations for eligible Earned Robux, not guaranteed take-home payouts. Roblox says the rates and rules may change; check its DevEx help information and current terms before relying on a figure.
A separate designated rate is not the standard rate
Roblox also identifies a $0.0054 rate effective June 8, 2026, for a specific qualifying in-game-spending category involving players over age 18 in the United States. Roblox gives $162 per 30,000 at that rate. It is conditional and does not apply to all Robux or all creators; do not use it as a general DevEx conversion rate. How much money is 30,000 Robux on DevEx?
Thirty thousand is the current minimum Earned Robux threshold in Roblox’s English DevEx Terms, but the gross value depends on the cohort. At the standard rate for Robux earned before the cutoff, 30,000 × $0.0035 = $105. At the standard rate for Robux earned from the cutoff onward, 30,000 × $0.0038 = $114. Meeting the balance minimum does not by itself establish eligibility or guarantee approval.
For a mixed eligible balance, calculate each cohort separately, then add the results. For example, if 20,000 eligible Robux belong to the older cohort and 10,000 to the newer cohort, the gross estimate is (20,000 × $0.0035) + (10,000 × $0.0038) = $108. This arithmetic illustrates the published rates; Roblox still determines which Robux qualify and whether a request is approved.

What Robux count as Earned Robux?
Roblox describes Earned Robux as Robux derived from compliant monetization of creator-made Virtual Content or other user-generated content. Examples in its terms include Marketplace or Creator Store listings, Creator Rewards, in-game purchases, Publisher program ad revenue, and affiliate sales fees. The Robux must also comply with Roblox’s rules.
Roblox excludes, among other sources:
- Robux bought directly or obtained by redeeming a gift card.
- Monthly Premium grants.
- Trading or resale of products the creator did not make.
- Gamepasses on template games without legitimate visits.
- Robux from moderated content that violates Roblox rules.
The English Developer Exchange Terms of Use state: “The determination of whether Robux are Earned Robux resides solely in Roblox’s discretion.” A displayed balance or a calculator cannot decide that question for Roblox.

Who can use DevEx?
Roblox’s current English DevEx Terms list these minimum requirements. Roblox retains discretion and may update them:
- Be at least 13 years old.
- Have at least 30,000 Earned Robux.
- Have a Roblox-verified email address.
- Have a valid account with the DevEx portal.
- Have the applicable tax form on file: a W-9 for U.S. taxpayers or a W-8 for non-U.S. taxpayers.
- Meet Roblox’s ongoing service requirements.
- Continue to comply with Roblox’s Terms and Community Standards.
These are minimum program requirements, not a promise of acceptance. Roblox says, “We are not able to predetermine your eligibility for Cash Out,” and reviews eligibility after a request is submitted.

Why can a DevEx calculator estimate differ from a payout?
A calculator can show a useful gross estimate only if its assumptions match your eligible balance and applicable rates. It cannot verify Roblox’s eligibility decision or predict the final amount delivered through a payment provider.
- Not all Robux qualify. A calculator that uses an account’s total balance may include purchased, gift-card, Premium-grant, resale, or otherwise excluded Robux.
- Older and newer Robux use different standard rates. Applying one rate to a mixed balance can overstate or understate the gross estimate.
- The designated $0.0054 rate is narrowly conditional. Applying it to ordinary balances produces an inapplicable result.
- Fees and currency conversion can reduce the payment. Roblox uses Tipalti as its third-party processor. Transaction fees vary by payment method, and conversion to local currency may add a foreign-exchange fee.
- Taxes are separate. A gross estimate is not a tax calculation or a statement of after-tax income.
- Roblox makes the final eligibility decision. Its review can determine that some or all requested Robux do not qualify.
When using a calculator, look for four disclosures: the earning-date rate it applies, whether it accepts only qualifying Earned Robux, how it handles mixed cohorts, and whether its output is before payment fees, foreign-exchange costs, and taxes. Unless it clearly says otherwise, treat the result as a gross estimate rather than a net payout. The actual payment-method options and current fee schedule are shown through the DevEx account.

What happens when you request a cash-out?
- Confirm that you meet the current requirements and that the Robux you intend to exchange are eligible Earned Robux.
- Use the DevEx cash-out option to submit a request. Roblox reviews eligibility after submission; selecting the option does not guarantee approval.
- Complete the payment and tax information required through the DevEx portal and Tipalti. Available payment methods depend on your location, and account-owner details should match across the request, Tipalti portal, tax form, and—where applicable—bank account.
- Check the fee information shown in your DevEx account and account for any relevant currency conversion costs before treating the gross estimate as spendable proceeds.
Roblox limits cash-out requests to no more than once per month. Creators are responsible for their tax obligations; consult official tax guidance for the relevant jurisdiction or a qualified tax professional rather than treating a calculator as tax advice.
Why build a simple DevEx calculator?
The useful job of a simple calculator is to make the rate arithmetic transparent: enter eligible Robux by earning-date cohort, multiply each amount by its published rate, and add the cohort values for a gross estimate. That can answer “what might this balance be worth at the published rate?” without implying “this is what Roblox will pay me.”
A calculator should make its assumptions visible rather than burying them in a single conversion number. It should not imply that every Robux qualifies, that a cash-out will be approved, or that the displayed gross amount is net of payment costs and taxes. Roblox’s official terms and help information—not the calculator—control eligibility and rates.
