Robert Herjavec’s departure from the CEO role at Cyderes was announced on September 24, 2024. Chris Schueler became CEO effective October 1, 2024. Herjavec did not leave the company entirely: Cyderes said he would remain a significant investor and board member.
When did Robert Herjavec step down as CEO of Cyderes?
Cyderes announced the leadership transition on September 24, 2024, and said Schueler’s appointment would take effect October 1, 2024. The company’s announcement described the change as a transition, not Herjavec’s complete departure from Cyderes.
Who replaced Robert Herjavec?
Chris Schueler became Cyderes’ CEO on October 1, 2024. In its announcement, Cyderes described Schueler as having more than 25 years of cybersecurity experience, senior roles at Trustwave and IBM, and 12 years in U.S. Army Information Operations Commands. The company also said he had joined from identity access management provider Simeio, where he had been CEO for four years. These career details are Cyderes’ account.
Cyderes’ leadership page lists Schueler as Chief Executive Officer, and a June 2, 2026 company release also identifies him as CEO.

Did Herjavec leave Cyderes?
No. At the time of the announcement, Cyderes said Herjavec would remain a significant investor and board member, continue contributing his industry knowledge, and stay committed to the company’s clients. The company biography continues to identify him with its board. Herjavec said in the announcement, “My life is very busy with family, and investments, but Cyderes will always remain my core business focus.”
What was the reason for the CEO change?
The announcement does not give a specific board-level reason for the succession or link it to a performance issue. Cyderes Chairman Rohan Haldea called it “an exciting evolution for Cyderes,” but that company-issued statement does not establish the underlying rationale.

Cyderes said in September 2024 that Herjavec founded the company in 2003 with two employees and that it had grown to nearly 1,000 employees. That is a company-reported figure for the time of the announcement, not a current headcount. Cyderes describes its business as enterprise cybersecurity services, including managed detection and response, identity and access management, exposure management, and risk programs.
