The clearest Acura example in the available coverage is Mark Zuckerberg’s reported Acura TSX—but the evidence is a 2013 list repeated in a 2017 summary, not a current ownership record. The exact 15-person lineup implied by the original title could not be verified. Here are the documented examples, with the dates and caveats that keep old celebrity-car claims from sounding like current facts.
Is there a verified list of 15 celebrities who drive an Acura or another cheap car?
No exact 15-person list matching that description was found in the sources reviewed. Related articles name different people and vehicles, so they should not be presented as the missing list. The examples below are attributed to the publications that reported them; most are dated claims rather than verified present-day ownership.
The strongest Acura example: Mark Zuckerberg’s reported TSX
In an August 2013 list, Celebrity Net Worth named Zuckerberg alongside an Acura TSX and gave a historical price claim of $30,000. The page did not identify a model year or provide independent proof of ownership. Celebrity Net Worth’s 2013 account is evidence of what the publication reported then, not what Zuckerberg owns or drives today.
A 2017 Carscoops article, saying its names were compiled by CNBC, repeated the TSX association. It described the car as “safe, comfortable and not ostentatious,” attributing that wording to CNBC; the quote is reported secondhand, not verified here against a primary interview. Carscoops’ October 2017 summary therefore corroborates the circulation of the claim, not current ownership.

Names in Celebrity Net Worth’s 2013 article
The same 2013 article associated several wealthy figures with particular cars. Its prices and descriptions are historical article claims, not current market values or verified details about present-day garages.
- Phil Knight and Michael Bloomberg: Audi R8s.
- Michael Dell: a 2004 Porsche Boxster.
- Warren Buffett: a Cadillac DTS.
- François-Henri Pinault: a Lexus SUV.
- Laurene Powell Jobs: an Audi A5.
- Alice Walton: a 2006 Ford F-150 King Ranch.
- Steve Ballmer: a Ford Fusion Hybrid.
- Ingvar Kamprad: a Volvo 240.
The list called its selections relatively cheap, a judgment that depends on the reader’s budget and the owner’s circumstances. An old purchase-price claim does not establish that a vehicle would be affordable to buy or maintain now.

Six selections summarized by Carscoops in 2017
Carscoops’ separate 2017 article, credited to CNBC, included Warren Buffett, Mark Zuckerberg, Alice Walton, Ingvar Kamprad, Steve Ballmer and NFL quarterback Kirk Cousins. It reported Buffett’s Cadillac XTS as a 2014 purchase and said he drove about 3,500 miles (5,600 km) per year. That mileage is a figure in the 2017 report, not a current annual-use estimate. The article also associated Walton with a Ford F-150, Kamprad with a Volvo 240 GL, Ballmer with a Fusion Hybrid and Cousins with a GMC Savana passenger van. Carscoops signaled uncertainty about some details, including Walton’s truck and whether Ballmer had changed cars.
More recent examples show why “owns” and “drives” need context
An April 2024 GOBankingRates article offered a different set of celebrity-car examples: it said Christian Bale drove a Toyota Tacoma, Leonardo DiCaprio’s daily driver was a Toyota Prius, Jennifer Lawrence had been spotted in a Volkswagen Eos, Britney Spears had been seen driving a Mini Cooper, and Conan O’Brien had kept a 1992 Ford Taurus SHO for decades. Those are the publication’s claims, not proof of current ownership.

The same article said Tom Hanks received a custom 1973 Fiat 126P as a gift and later auctioned it for charity. A gift that was subsequently auctioned is not the same kind of evidence as a current daily driver. GOBankingRates’ April 2024 article illustrates how these roundups can mix reported daily use, sightings, long-held vehicles and former possessions.

“Cheap” is relative. A car described as modest for a billionaire may still be outside another household’s budget, while a historic price in a celebrity list says little about today’s used-car market. None of these articles supplies a representative statistic showing how often rich celebrities choose inexpensive cars; the examples are anecdotes, not evidence of a measurable trend.

Promotional relationships can complicate the story as well. The Drive speculated that Acura may have gifted an MDX to Chris Hemsworth because Acura sponsored Thor; that speculation does not establish an ordinary personal purchase. The Drive’s article should not be treated as proof of ownership.
