Did the deal cause Red Lobster’s bankruptcy?
The filing identified the promotion as a source of operational and financial problems, but it does not show that the deal alone caused the bankruptcy. The Associated Press reported broader financial and operating pressures, and quoted executives describing the low price as an effort to attract more restaurant traffic.
