Who owns Reading FC now?
Reading FC announced a sale in principle to Redwood Holdings Limited on 3 May 2025. The club said Redwood was a subsidiary of Dogwood Football LLC, owned by Rob Couhig and Todd Trosclair. That announcement was not the final regulatory step. On 14 May 2025, the EFL confirmed it had given final clearance and that the club was under the new ownership of Couhig and Trosclair. The EFL’s confirmation marks the completed ownership transition.
Did Reading FC enter administration?
The official club, EFL and corporate records cited here do not establish that Reading FC entered administration. The reported sale process, legal dispute, accounts issues and registration embargo are not, by themselves, evidence of administration.

These issues belong to the period before the takeover completed; they should not be treated as evidence that the club later entered administration.

October 2024: exclusivity and registration embargo
On 7 October 2024, Reading FC said it had agreed exclusivity with a potential purchaser. The club also reported an EFL registration embargo connected to late filing of its 2022/23 accounts. This was an interim update on the sale process, not confirmation of a completed transaction. Reading FC’s October 2024 statement
March 2025: sale process, litigation and accounts
On 27 March 2025, the club said exclusivity remained in place and referred to litigation involving Couhig. It reported that the 2022/23 accounts had been submitted and that the 2023/24 accounts might miss the EFL deadline, with a possible transfer-embargo position also under discussion. What is Paul Taylor’s role?
The official club, EFL and corporate records cited here do not identify Paul Taylor as an administrator or establish that he was involved in the takeover. Without a direct source naming him and explaining his role, it would be misleading to present him as a party to the transaction.
