But the 250GB total included a limited-time 100GB bonus on top of 150GB of base full-speed data, and the reported Roam Beyond allowance was cut from 50GB to 20GB. These are dated offer details, not a promise that the plan is still available; check Freedom’s current offers and terms before signing up.
What changed in the April 2026 price reversal?
On April 22, 2026, iPhone in Canada reported that Freedom had raised two upper-tier offers: $70 for 200GB became $80 for 250GB, while a $60-for-250GB offer in the lineup it described also became $80 for 250GB. The report said the more expensive offers had larger Roam Beyond allowances. iPhone in Canada’s April 22 report.
The next day, MobileSyrup reported that prices had come back down, but the plans were not simply restored on identical terms:
| Offer reported April 23, 2026 | Prior offer reported by MobileSyrup | Data and roaming detail |
|---|---|---|
| $50/month for 100GB | $70/month for 200GB | MobileSyrup reported the new price and data amount; it did not state a Roam Beyond allowance for this offer. |
| $60/month for 150GB, plus a limited-time 100GB bonus | $80/month for 250GB | The advertised total was 250GB while the bonus applied. Roam Beyond data was 20GB, down from 50GB. |
Those figures are MobileSyrup’s April 23, 2026 snapshot; the $60 offer’s bonus is distinct from its 150GB base allowance. See MobileSyrup’s report.

How did the $60 offer compare with earlier promotions?
MobileSyrup compared the returned offer with a $40-for-250GB Freedom promotion from March 2026 and described the April offer as less favourable. The March figure was a historical promotion, not a current price or evidence of what Freedom will offer next. It also cannot be compared cleanly with a 250GB total that includes temporary bonus data without accounting for the bonus period and roaming allowance.
MobileSyrup also listed other early-April limited-time offers of $40 for 100GB and $45 for 175GB. These are dated reported offers, not a current lineup or market-wide price comparison.

What did later 2026 plan snapshots show?
The April configuration did not remain fixed. An iPhone in Canada snapshot dated July 23, 2026 listed $60 for 250GB with 10GB of Roam Beyond data, and a separate $70-for-250GB option with 20GB of Roam Beyond data. That later snapshot shows why the April roaming allowance and bonus should not be treated as current terms. See iPhone in Canada’s July 23 report.

What to check before comparing or switching
- Base data versus bonus: Confirm how much full-speed data is part of the plan and how much, if any, is temporary bonus data. The April 2026 $60 offer’s reported 250GB total combined 150GB base data with a limited-time 100GB bonus.
- Roam Beyond allowance: Treat roaming data as a separate allowance from domestic plan data. Check the current amount and the destinations and conditions that apply if you expect to use your phone abroad.
- Discount eligibility: Freedom says eligible customers need Auto Pay, an active payment method and redemption of the Digital Discount promo code to receive the $5 monthly discount. The discount can be lost for months when requirements are not met, so do not assume an after-discount figure applies to everyone.
- Price terms: Freedom’s Price Freeze Promise applies to a wireless rate plan’s price before discounts and credits while the customer maintains that plan. It excludes taxes, levies, pay-per-use charges, passes, add-ons, device financing charges and other fees.
- Data after the full-speed allowance: Freedom’s general unlimited-plan terms describe 25GB to 250GB of full-speed data, followed by continued data at reduced speeds without overage fees until the billing cycle ends. The specific plan’s terms determine its allowance and conditions.
- Coverage and device: Freedom says 5G/5G+ access requires a compatible plan, device, SIM and coverage. Performance varies with conditions; the company lists a theoretical peak 5G+ download speed of up to 900 Mbps in select cities, not a speed every customer should expect.
For exact plan terms, consult Freedom Mobile’s official site and the offer details shown at signup. The monthly price alone does not establish whether a plan suits your data use or travel needs.
