Qubetics’ current status does not support calling it one of the best long-term cryptos. In an October 6, 2026 update, the project said $TICS had migrated to Ethereum as an ERC-20 token and that it was no longer commissioning continued development of its previously proposed Layer 1 blockchain, chain abstraction protocol or decentralized VPN. Aave and Ondo involve different kinds of crypto exposure, and the available documentation does not establish that any of the three is likely to deliver superior returns.
How the three compare
| Project or token | What the cited materials establish | What that does not establish |
|---|---|---|
| Qubetics ($TICS) | Qubetics said on October 6, 2026, that $TICS had migrated to Ethereum as an ERC-20 token. It also said it was not currently commissioning continued development of its previously proposed Layer 1, chain abstraction protocol or dVPN. | That statement is not evidence that the former roadmap will resume, that its proposed features are live, or that the token has a particular future value. |
| Aave (AAVE) | Aave documents a decentralized liquidity protocol implemented through open-source smart contracts. Users can supply assets and borrow under market-specific parameters. | Protocol functionality alone does not establish a valuation case for holding AAVE or predict its return. |
| Ondo (ONDO) | Ondo Foundation documentation identifies ONDO as a governance token for the Ondo DAO and Flux Finance. | ONDO is not the same as Ondo’s tokenized financial products and does not, on the reviewed evidence, represent ownership of Treasury assets. |
These are not interchangeable investments: one is a project token whose original development plans have materially changed, one is associated with a functioning lending and borrowing protocol, and one is documented as a governance token. The sources cited here do not provide comparable performance, adoption or liquidity evidence, so they cannot support a ranking by long-term return potential.
What changed for Qubetics
The original roadmap is no longer being commissioned
Qubetics’ October 6, 2026 update says it reviewed the original roadmap and concluded that continuing under the existing development structure was not appropriate. Its statement is explicit: “As a result, Qubetics is not currently commissioning continued development of the previously proposed Layer 1, chain abstraction protocol or dVPN.” Qubetics also acknowledged that its original vision “did not materialise in the way originally intended.” These are statements by the project, not an independent audit of its technology.
Older Qubetics marketing materials describe a broader Web3 ecosystem, including Layer 1 plans, a wallet and a dVPN. Those descriptions should be read as the former project pitch, not proof that these products are now live or maintained. The October update says repositories are to be reviewed and made public once access and development materials are in place; it announces no developer program or commitment. That is not a relaunch date or a delivery promise.

Migration and the claim portal are separate steps
According to Qubetics, the migration to an Ethereum ERC-20 token has already occurred. The claim portal is for holders with an existing eligible allocation to receive ERC-20 $TICS set aside for them. The update says there is currently no planned deadline for those eligible holders, but the portal does not reopen migration eligibility or create a new allocation. Check the project’s current instructions before taking action, because claim procedures and status can change.
Reported team-token burn
Qubetics reported that it permanently burned its full team allocation. Its October 6, 2026 update gives the burn as 68,093,398.2 $TICS, with total supply falling from 1,361,867,964 to 1,293,774,565.8 $TICS. These are project-reported figures; the update’s transaction hash is displayed in truncated form, so the figures should not be treated here as independently verified on-chain. A reported burn changes the stated supply, but by itself does not demonstrate demand, project delivery or price appreciation.

What Aave exposure means
The protocol’s function
Aave describes itself as a decentralized, non-custodial liquidity protocol built from open-source self-executing smart contracts on permissionless public blockchains. Users can supply assets to markets and borrow against collateral, subject to each market’s governance-approved conditions. Supplied tokens are held in publicly accessible smart contracts, and supply caps can limit deposits in particular markets.
Using Aave and holding AAVE are distinct choices. The protocol documentation explains supplying and borrowing; it does not, by itself, establish the value or expected return of the AAVE token.

Risks to understand
- Smart contracts and reserve assets: vulnerabilities in contracts or assets held by a market can cause losses.
- Oracles: markets depend on external price data; problems with that data can affect liquidations and protocol operation.
- Collateral and liquidity: price declines or inadequate liquidity can contribute to bad debt or make positions difficult to manage.
- Underlying networks and bridges: failures or exploits outside the core protocol can still affect assets or access.
Aave identifies audits, governance review, risk parameters and bug bounties as risk mitigations. None guarantees that losses cannot occur.
What ONDO does—and what it does not mean
ONDO is documented as a governance token
Ondo Foundation documentation identifies ONDO as the governance token for the Ondo DAO and Flux Finance. The documentation states an initial supply of 10 billion tokens and says there is no scheduled or planned inflation. Those are token-documentation statements, not a forecast of price, return or future circulating supply.

Tokenized products are different from ONDO
Ondo’s tokenized financial products should not be conflated with the ONDO governance token. A Cyfrin audit document from April 2024 describes OUSG and rOUSG as ERC-20 products related to a short-term U.S. Treasury ETF, with KYC restrictions and redemption mechanics. That historical audit covers those contracts; it does not guarantee current eligibility or redemption terms, and it does not make ONDO itself an interest in Treasury assets.

- Token rights and use: determine whether the token is used in a protocol, confers governance participation, or represents a claim on a separate product. Do not infer rights that the project’s documentation does not state.
- Adoption and liquidity: look for current, independent evidence about usage and the ability to buy or sell. The materials summarized here do not establish a comparative case on either measure.
- Technical and operational exposure: account for smart-contract, oracle, collateral, network, bridge, migration and claim-process risks where relevant.
- Evidence of delivery: compare current, verifiable products and documentation with older roadmaps or promotional claims.
For someone who already holds an ERC-20 token, an Ethereum-compatible hardware wallet may be a custody option. General Ethereum and ERC-20 wallet guidance does not verify that a particular device and software interface supports the exact $TICS contract. Confirm the token contract and compatibility directly with the wallet provider before transferring assets.
What the available evidence can—and cannot—say
The current Qubetics update is material counterevidence to older descriptions of its ambitious roadmap. Aave’s documentation supports describing how its protocol works and the risks it identifies. Ondo’s documentation supports identifying ONDO’s governance role and separating it from particular tokenized products. None of these sources establishes which asset will perform best over the long term, and no future-return estimate is justified by the facts above.
