It closed on 20 June 2024, so those sale fares are no longer bookable as that promotion. The reports characterized it as Qantas’s first stand-alone premium-cabin sale since before the COVID pandemic; that historical claim was reported by media, not confirmed in a recovered Qantas announcement.
When did the Qantas premium cabin sale end?
The promotion opened on 14 June 2024 and closed on 20 June 2024, unless seats sold out earlier. The reported travel window ran from July 2024 through May 2025, subject to route-specific restrictions and blackout dates. Those dates have passed.
PerthNow and Karryon reported the sale as a stand-alone premium-cabin promotion and described it as the first of its kind since before COVID. That wording is the outlets’ characterization: no official Qantas announcement for this particular sale was identified in the cited coverage. (PerthNow, 14 June 2024; Karryon, 14 June 2024)
Which international routes were included?
Contemporary reports said more than 20 international routes were included, with sale fares in both Business and Premium Economy. Named destinations included Auckland, Nadi, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Seoul, Los Angeles, New York and London. These are examples from the coverage, not a complete route list; availability depended on route, dates and remaining seats.

Karryon reported that some travel in December and January was included, but blackout dates and other route-specific restrictions applied. The promotion was available for cash fares or through Qantas Classic Plus, subject to availability. (Karryon; Flight Hacks, 14 June 2024)
How much were the reported sale fares?
The figures below are historical examples reported during the June 2024 promotion, not current fare guidance or a guarantee that seats were available on every date. Each is a return fare in Australian dollars.

There is no reliable uniform savings percentage to apply to these examples: the reports do not provide a consistent comparison against a defined baseline fare. To compare any current options, use the same origin, destination, cabin and travel dates, and account for blackout dates and fare rules.
Could the sale be booked with Qantas Points?
Yes. Karryon reported that Classic Plus reward seats were an option alongside cash fares, while availability lasted. Classic Plus points requirements varied with the commercial fare price, so the sale label alone did not establish that a points booking was good value.

Flight Hacks compared examples of sale-priced Classic Plus bookings with Classic Reward seats and found multiple cases where Classic Plus required more points. Taxes, fees and carrier charges also affected the total; PerthNow noted that points bookings incurred additional charges. Compare the points required and cash component separately, and check whether a Classic Reward seat is available for the same itinerary before deciding. (Flight Hacks; PerthNow)

Not under the June 2024 promotion: its booking deadline and travel period have ended. Qantas has run separate premium-cabin promotions since then, but later sales have their own booking windows, routes, travel dates and conditions. For example, Travel Weekly reported a separate 2025 promotion covering First, Business and Premium Economy, while Qantas Agency Connect described a different 2026 offer with its own cutoff and limited availability. Neither establishes that the 2024 fares or routes remain available. (Travel Weekly, 12 June 2025; Qantas Agency Connect, 2 June 2026)
