The 2024 offer gave some existing customers 195GB of 4G data over the term, equivalent to 65GB per 30 days, with Canada–U.S. coverage. Its current availability is not established, so check your logged-in account before counting on it.
What the reported $34/65GB offer included
MobileSyrup reported on October 22, 2024, that some existing Public Mobile customers could access a Canada–U.S. plan priced at $102 for 90 days. It included 195GB of 4G data for the full subscription period. Dividing the total by three gives a 30-day equivalent of $34 and 65GB, but the reported payment was due for the 90-day term, not monthly. MobileSyrup’s report described the plan’s regular monthly price as $45 and said it included select international long-distance minutes to China, Hong Kong, India, Pakistan, the Philippines, Taiwan and the U.K.
The distinction matters for budgeting: compare the $102 charge you would pay for the term with what you would pay for alternatives over the same 90 days. The monthly equivalent is useful for comparison, but it is not the billing schedule.
Can you still get this plan?
The offer was reported as available to some existing customers in October 2024. At the time, the original deal post directed readers to Public Mobile’s self-serve portal, and some forum commenters said they could see it in the app. Those reports do not confirm current availability or eligibility. The contemporaneous community discussion records what some customers saw then; it does not establish what appears in accounts now.

Public Mobile’s current public plan listing shows different options, including a $35/month 50GB 5G Canada-wide offer, rather than the historical 4G Canada–U.S. plan. A public listing cannot confirm whether a targeted offer remains available to a particular account. Check the current plan page, then review the plan-change options while logged in. Before switching, confirm the displayed price, renewal interval, coverage and included services. MobileSyrup’s August 2024 report is also historical and does not establish present availability.
Promotions can have plan-specific restrictions. A June 2026 community post discusses terms for a different targeted promotion; those terms should not be assumed to apply to the 2024 $102 offer. Read that separate promotion’s discussion only for its own conditions.

How to compare the offer with a current plan
Do not compare plans on their monthly-equivalent price alone. The reported offer and the currently listed $35 option differ in term, data amount, speed tier and geographic coverage. Compare the details over the period you expect to use the service:
- Upfront cost and term: the historical offer was $102 for 90 days; the listed alternative is priced monthly.
- Total data: the historical offer included 195GB over 90 days. The current listing surfaced a 50GB plan; check its current terms and how its data allowance is applied.
- Network tier: the reported offer was 4G, while the surfaced $35 plan was listed as 5G.
- Coverage: the historical offer was described as Canada–U.S.; the surfaced alternative was Canada-wide.
- Calling inclusions: the 2024 report specified select international long-distance minutes. Confirm whether a plan you are considering includes the destinations and allowances you need.
Plan terms can change, so rely on the details shown in your account at the time you make the change rather than treating a 2024 report as a current offer.

Is there a speed difference between Public Mobile 4G and 5G?
The $102 plan was reported as a 4G plan; the public listing surfaced a 5G Canada-wide option. A network label alone does not tell you what speeds you will experience. The October 2024 Public Mobile Community thread includes customers asking whether there is much difference between 4G and 5G on the network, but comments there are anecdotal, not controlled speed tests. Read the discussion as customer experience, not a measured comparison.
Actual performance depends on conditions such as location, network congestion, device and signal. The sources cited here do not establish a measured speed difference for these plans. If speed is important to you, check the plan’s stated speed category and assess service where you use your phone most; do not assume that a 5G label guarantees a particular result.

- Sign in to Public Mobile and open the plan-change screen.
- Confirm whether the $102-for-90-days offer appears for your account. Do not assume historical eligibility means it is still available.
- Read the complete displayed terms: total charge, renewal date or interval, data allowance, 4G or 5G tier, geographic coverage and international calling inclusions.
- Compare the offer with alternatives over the same period and check whether the upfront payment fits your budget.
- Proceed only if the account’s current terms match what you need; save or record the offer details before confirming the change.
