Yes. PSSSB’s final result for Jail Warder and Jail Matron recruitment under Advertisement 08/2021 was reported as declared on July 6, 2022. A later PSSSB public notice dated January 15, 2024, reproduced online, records additional physical tests in December 2023, counseling on January 1–2, 2024, and says the final result was attached. These are updates in the same historical recruitment, not a 2026 recruitment result.

Which result does this refer to?

It is the Punjab Subordinate Services Selection Board (PSSSB) recruitment for Jail Warder and Jail Matron under Advertisement 08/2021. Scroll reported that the drive covered 847 vacancies: 815 Warder posts and 32 Matron posts. That figure is reported by Scroll, not newly verified from a current PSSSB page. Scroll, July 6, 2022

“Final result” should not be confused with the earlier written-exam result. The recruitment had further physical assessment and counseling stages, and a later notice describes additional activity after the July 2022 report.

How the result timeline unfolded

Date What happened
August 27–29, 2021 Scroll reported these dates for the written examination. Scroll, September 2021
September 6, 2021 Scroll reported announcement of the written-exam result. This was an earlier selection stage, not the final result. Scroll, September 2021
July 6, 2022 Scroll reported that PSSSB had declared the Warder and Matron final result. Scroll, July 6, 2022
December 2023 A PSSSB public notice dated January 15, 2024, reproduced on Scribd, says additional candidates underwent physical measurement/efficiency tests (PMT/PET). Reproduced PSSSB notice, January 15, 2024
January 1–2, 2024 The reproduced notice says counseling was held for candidates found eligible in the physical stages; it also says the final result was attached. Reproduced PSSSB notice, January 15, 2024

For context, Scroll’s September 2021 report said more than 1.82 lakh candidates took the written examination. This is a figure reported by Scroll, not a current official candidate-count record. Scroll, September 2021

Where to check an individual result

  1. Go to the official PSSSB website and open its Results section or relevant notices.
  2. Look for Advertisement 08/2021 and the result entry for Warder (Male Candidates) or Matron, as applicable. Scroll’s July 2022 instructions directed candidates to the Results section and the Warder (Male Candidates) link for this advertisement. Scroll, July 6, 2022
  3. Open the official result document and check the candidate details and any instructions included with it. The historical page’s current layout and the continued availability of the original PDF have not been confirmed.

If the official page or PDF is no longer available, a third-party copy may help identify the notice, but it is a reproduction—not a substitute for confirming an individual entry against PSSSB’s official record. The January 15, 2024 notice copy reviewed here is hosted on Scribd and appears corrupted in places. Reproduced PSSSB notice, January 15, 2024

Important qualifications in the later notice

The January 15, 2024 notice reproduction says the attached result was subject to cases pending before the Punjab and Haryana High Court and that PSSSB reserved the right to correct errors. The available information does not establish the current status of those cases or whether a later corrigendum changed the list. Check PSSSB’s current official notices before relying on the reproduced document for a consequential decision. Reproduced PSSSB notice, January 15, 2024
