Theorycraft said it planned to self-publish elsewhere. The game was later formally named SUPERVIVE; these announcements describe plans at the time, not its current release or service status.
What Theorycraft announced in April 2024
On April 18, 2024, Theorycraft Games said Project Loki was entering alpha development. The studio said it had been working on the project for about three and a half years. Its announcement also described publishing arrangements with NetEase and Nexon, while stating that Theorycraft planned to self-publish in the rest of the world. Theorycraft’s announcement framed the deals as a notable step for an independent studio while the game was still in alpha.
The next day, Nexon confirmed that its subsidiary Nexon Korea had signed an agreement with Theorycraft to launch the PC game in Japan and South Korea. Nexon’s April 19, 2024 release identifies Theorycraft as an independent studio led by industry veterans whose past work included League of Legends, VALORANT, and Overwatch.

What the playtest figures mean
Theorycraft’s 2024 announcement reported more than 150,000 players signed up to playtest Project Loki and more than 50 distinct playtests in North America and Europe. Those are figures reported by the company, not independently verified totals. Nexon repeated the claim of more than 50 playtests in its June 2024 announcement, also describing player feedback as part of the testing process.
Project Loki was later named SUPERVIVE
On June 26, 2024, Nexon announced that Project Loki’s formal title was SUPERVIVE. Its description highlighted gliding, jumping, and aerial combat. That later naming announcement provides context for the April partnership news, but does not by itself establish whether the game is currently available or operating as a live service. What the alpha milestone did—and did not—confirm
Entering alpha meant the project had reached a development and testing milestone, according to Theorycraft’s April announcement. It was not an announcement of a commercial launch date. The regional publishing agreements likewise named markets and partners without setting release dates or describing operational details beyond the territories. The announcements establish the companies’ plans in 2024, not subsequent changes to those plans.
