For a review or denial, the next step is different: PrizePicks says a specialist reviews accounts placed in review, while a denied user cannot play and is not given a specific denial reason.
What does your PrizePicks verification status mean?
PrizePicks requires identity verification to activate an account. Its Verification page, last updated May 16, 2026, says that if an account is not automatically verified after sign-up, the platform needs more information before it can verify the user.

How to fix an ID resubmission request
- Use an eligible ID. Submit a government-issued ID with a photo. PrizePicks identifies a library card or debit card as examples of invalid ID types.
- Retake the photo carefully. Use good lighting and make sure the image is clear rather than blurry.
- Follow the app’s upload instructions. PrizePicks says the in-app ID process takes less than two minutes when users follow the prompts. That is an estimate for completing the submission, not a promise about verification or review time.
- Check for a selfie request. PrizePicks may also ask for a selfie showing your face alongside a government-issued ID. Submit it only if requested in the app.
PrizePicks says to use a smartphone and a government-issued ID for the process. If you continue to receive an error after following the app instructions, contact Live Support rather than repeatedly submitting an image that has not changed.
Check the account details that must match
PrizePicks requests your legal name as shown on government ID, date of birth, home address, and a valid email. Compare the name and other details in your account with your documents, and enter accurate information. Do not create another account or alter identity details to get around a verification check.

If your legal name changed
PrizePicks’ Account Settings page, last updated August 27, 2026, says to contact Live Support, provide a valid reason and documentation, and wait for confirmation. A legal-name change requires reverification. Confirmed email changes also require manual verification in a support chat.
Why PrizePicks may ask you to verify again
A new verification prompt does not necessarily mean your earlier verification failed. PrizePicks says repeat verification can occur after a long period of inactivity, when trying to reactivate a deleted account, or because of the separate SSN check for Team and Culture picks. If the prompt asks for a Social Security Number, PrizePicks says a valid SSN—not a Taxpayer Identification Number—is required for Team and Culture picks. Other circumstances may also require additional information, so follow the specific request shown in your account.
Eligibility can affect whether verification succeeds
Identity details are only part of account eligibility. Age, residence, immigration status, and physical location can matter. PrizePicks’ Verification page describes qualifying US residency and status requirements and notes that an exception may apply to active US military stationed abroad. Check the current Where Can I Play? page for state availability and age rules; its state table is identified as last updated May 19, 2026, and the page was last updated October 5, 2026. Location and eligibility rules can change, so use the current official information for your state.

Keep payment errors separate from identity uploads
An error involving Aeropay is not the same as a failed ID-photo upload. PrizePicks says Aeropay-related disabled accounts may affect deposits or withdrawals and directs users who see an Aeropay-specific error to Aeropay for resolution, as described on its Protecting Your Funds page. Use Live Support when your details are correct but the app keeps rejecting a valid ID, your account remains in review and you need account-specific guidance, you need to request a legal-name change, or you have been denied and want to ask about your account. The official Account Settings and Verification pages provide the relevant support and verification guidance. PrizePicks does not publish a review-resolution timeframe on the cited Verification page or promise that support can reverse a denial.
