The prices reported in February were temporary snapshots, not offers you should expect to find on September 27, 2026. Coverage did identify meaningful discounts on a 13-inch MacBook Air, iPad Air and AirPods, but each saving applied to a specific model, storage tier or noise-cancellation configuration.
What the 2026 Presidents’ Day Apple sale included
Deal coverage published between February 5 and February 16, 2026, pointed to discounts at Amazon and Best Buy. The following figures are historical and should not be treated as current prices or inventory.

9to5Mac reported on February 16 that some prices from the preceding week were still stable that morning. That was a dated observation, not evidence that Presidents’ Day pricing lasts for a predictable number of days.

The largest stated dollar discount was $200 on the specified 13-inch M4 MacBook Air configuration. A different memory or storage option could have a different list price and discount, so the saving cannot be applied to every MacBook Air.

AirPods
Macworld reported $100 off AirPods Max. Best Buy coverage separately listed AirPods 4 at $99.99 and the AirPods 4 model with active noise cancellation at $139.99. Those are different products; the lower price does not describe the ANC version.

Amazon or Best Buy: which was cheaper?
The available February reports do not provide a like-for-like retailer comparison for every product. Amazon coverage supplied discounts for the MacBook Air, iPad Air and AirPods Max, while the Best Buy report supplied prices for two AirPods 4 configurations. Because the models differ, there is no defensible single winner across the categories.

Where to check Apple pricing after the holiday
Apple’s U.S. online store
Apple’s official U.S. store is the best reference for the current lineup, standard pricing and any direct promotion. It may not match a third-party retailer’s temporary markdown, but it gives you the model names and configurations needed for an accurate comparison.

Apple Education Pricing
Apple’s U.S. education store is a separate route for eligible students, educators and qualifying institutions. Eligibility and prices are distinct from the general public store, so confirm that you qualify before treating an education price as a broadly available deal.
How to evaluate a future Presidents’ Day Apple deal
- Identify the exact device. Note generation, screen size, memory, storage and, for AirPods, whether active noise cancellation is included.
- Compare against Apple’s current price. Calculate the actual dollar saving rather than relying only on a percentage badge.
- Check the retailer and seller. On marketplace listings, verify who fulfills the order and whether the item is new, refurbished or open-box.
- Review the total cost. Include sales tax, shipping, required accessories and any extended-warranty charge.
- Confirm returns and warranty. Keep the receipt and check the return deadline before opening the product.
- Recheck stock before paying. A headline price can disappear when a particular configuration sells out.
What the historical prices do—and do not—tell you
They show that Apple hardware can receive substantial temporary discounts around Presidents’ Day, especially at large retailers. They do not predict the 2027 sale, guarantee a repeat of the same generations or establish today’s market price. Any forward-looking deal guide needs a fresh check of live retailer listings close to the event.
