Presidents Day 2026 fell on Monday, February 16. The luggage discounts reported around the holiday are now historical, not verified current offers: the cited coverage appeared February 10–16, and there is no evidence here that the prices or stock remain available as of October 8, 2026. Treat the figures below as a record of what publishers reported at the time, not as a shopping list of live deals.
What Presidents Day 2026 luggage deals were reported?
USA TODAY published its Presidents Day shopping roundup on February 10 and updated it February 13, 2026. Travel + Leisure published its Amazon travel-deals article on February 16. Their reported discounts included carry-ons, checked luggage and a suitcase set:

These are deal-specific claims made by the named publishers during the February sale period—not independently verified current prices, market-wide statistics or product-quality rankings. The coverage does not establish today’s price, inventory or whether any promotion continued after publication.
How to use an old sale price when shopping today
Use the historical figures as leads for products to investigate, not as proof that an item is discounted now. Check the retailer’s current product page for the live price, stock, dimensions and return terms before deciding. A percentage discount alone does not show whether a bag is a good value; the cited coverage does not offer a consistent, side-by-side product test.

- Current price and whether the displayed discount applies to the size or color you want.
Check airline rules before buying a carry-on
There is no single carry-on size that works for every airline and itinerary. Confirm the operating carrier’s current cabin-bag dimensions and allowance for each flight before purchasing. American Airlines’ bag limitations and restrictions include route- and season-specific limits. Frontier Airlines explains its bag options and says bag size may be checked during boarding. These are examples of carrier-specific rules, not a complete survey of airline policies.

- CARRY-ON DESIGN: Best for 1-5 day trips without the hassle of checking luggage; measures 14.8 x 10 x 21.7 inches, including wheels
- DURABLE AND RELIABLE: Extra-thick hard shell with scratch-resistant finish guards against impact and rough handling
- EXPANDABLE: Increase packing space up to 25% for added flexibility and organization
- ORGANIZED INTERIOR: Keep essentials organized with an interior divider and three zippered pockets
- EFFORTLESS TRAVEL: Navigate with ease thanks to four multi-directional wheels, telescoping handle, and short lift handle
If your itinerary includes multiple airlines, check each operating carrier rather than relying only on the airline that sold the ticket. A bag that fits one carrier’s allowance may not fit another’s, and an expandable suitcase may exceed a limit when expanded.

A carry-on can make sense when its dimensions meet the rules for every flight and its capacity suits the trip. Checked luggage may be more practical when you need more space or a carry-on would not meet an airline’s cabin limits. Compare the actual dimensions, packed weight and expansion size against your itinerary; the sale coverage does not establish a universally best option.
