The notice listed 34 posts for women across the stated categories and said the government could increase or decrease the number of posts before the selection process ended. For later exam, result or recruitment-stage updates, check the Punjab Public Service Commission notice archive; the reviewed recruitment notice does not confirm those later developments.

How did selection and the written exam work?
Selection combined a 480-mark written competitive examination with a 60-mark interview, for 540 marks in total. The written paper had 120 multiple-choice questions and lasted two hours.
| Written-paper section | Questions | Marks |
|---|---|---|
| Horticulture subject | 90 | 360 |
| General knowledge and current affairs | 10 | 40 |
| General mental ability, reasoning and quantitative aptitude | 10 | 40 |
| Punjabi | 10 | 40 |
| Total | 120 | 480 |
The paper was in English and was pen-and-paper, using an OMR sheet. The notice specified a ballpoint pen for marking answers. Each correct answer earned four marks; each wrong answer lost one mark, while an unanswered question earned no marks. If a question was withdrawn, the notice said every candidate would receive four marks for it.

Horticulture made up 90 of the 120 questions, so it was the largest written-paper section. The notice’s subject coverage included:
- Fruit crops and recommended varieties for climatic zones.
- Nursery production; floor and canopy management; water and fertilizer management.
- Plant protection, pests and diseases, and post-harvest management, processing and value addition.
- Vegetable and ornamental production, protected cultivation and seed production.
- Horticulture’s role in agricultural diversification and planning.
The remaining sections covered national and international current affairs; economics, polity, environment, geography, and science and technology; Indian freedom struggle history; Punjab history from the 14th century onward; logical and analytical reasoning; basic numerical skills; data analysis and charts; and Punjabi language and usage.
What did the application process require?
Applications were accepted online only through the PPSC website. The form and fee deadline was 14 November 2025 at 11:59 p.m. A contemporaneous Scroll report also stated that deadline.
The notice warned applicants to enter personal, category and qualification details, as well as photo and signature information, carefully. Submitted details could not be changed, and a selected category could not be changed. Applicants were told to retain a copy of the submitted form and supporting eligibility records. The notice did not generally require a hard-copy submission with the initial online application.
What should a candidate check now?
Because the application period has ended and later recruitment stages are not established by the original notice, candidates should look for subsequent official notices rather than rely on an old deadline or assume an exam date.
