PerthNow reported that 40 people across Australia won Division Three in the Powerball draw reported on 25 July 2024. Three of the winners were in Western Australia, each set to receive $20,104.75. No Division One or Division Two winner was reported, leaving a $20 million jackpot expected for the following Thursday’s draw in 2024.

What were the reported winning numbers?

PerthNow listed the numbers in this order: 8, 12, 17, 6, 7, 16, 5. The Powerball was 13.

The report counted 40 Division Three winners nationally, including three in Western Australia. PerthNow said each of the three WA winners would receive $20,104.75.

Why was the jackpot expected to reach $20 million?

PerthNow reported no winner in Division One or Division Two. The article said the jackpot would double to $20 million for the following Thursday’s draw. That figure was the expected jackpot reported in July 2024, not a current jackpot amount.
