GeekWire reported on November 6, 2023, that KeySavvy announced a $2 million seed round from Porsche Ventures, Porsche’s venture arm, and Seattle investment firm Founders’ Co-op. The $2 million is the size of the round; neither that report nor the later company announcement states Porsche Ventures’ individual contribution.
KeySavvy was founded by Andrew Crowell and Jason Hoetger, former colleagues at Seattle auto-sale platform Tred, according to GeekWire. The startup’s premise is that a private car sale can expose both parties to payment, identity and paperwork risks that are difficult to manage when buyer and seller transact directly.

Funding after the Porsche Ventures round
The 2023 seed financing is separate from KeySavvy’s later funding. On November 21, 2024, the company announced $4.25 million in venture funding led by Bonfire Ventures, with Experian Ventures, Daher Investments and Founders’ Co-op participating. That announcement does not identify this later financing as the Porsche Ventures seed round.

Porsche AG’s 2025 consolidated financial statements list a 7.44 percent interest in capital in KeySavvy, Inc., and identify 2024 as the acquisition year. That is the filing’s reported ownership context; it should not be read as proof of control or as a disclosure of the terms or size of Porsche Ventures’ 2023 investment.
KeySavvy’s marketplace integrations
In its 2024 announcement, KeySavvy named Cars & Bids, AutoCheck by Experian and Hemmings as e-commerce partners. The company described API-based integrations that can let users move from a partner’s app or website into KeySavvy’s transaction platform.
