Deal status: Historical offer reported on April 14, 2025—not a confirmed live price. Amazon briefly listed the unlocked, 128GB Google Pixel 9 Pro in Porcelain for $749, down from a $999 reference price. That was a $250 (about 25%) reduction and the lowest Amazon price reported for that exact configuration at the time. A later report found the same basic configuration at $699 in August 2025, so $749 is a former low, not a permanent all-time record.

The original report is available from Phandroid. The $749 price did not automatically apply to the 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB versions, and it was not a Pixel 9 Pro XL promotion.
Was $749 really the lowest price ever?
It was a genuine low for the scope described in April 2025: one publication’s observed Amazon price for the unlocked 128GB standard Pixel 9 Pro. “Lowest price ever” in deal headlines is usually limited by retailer, variant, color, condition, and tracking period. It may also exclude trade-ins, coupons, carrier activation, financing requirements, refurbished stock, and marketplace sellers.
That distinction matters because 9to5Google reported a $699 price in August 2025 for an unlocked 128GB Pixel 9 Pro. In hindsight, the April offer is best described as a historical Amazon low at the time or a former low, not the phone’s final all-time low.

Is the $749 offer still available?
The available evidence does not establish a live $749 price today. The April article called the promotion limited-time and warned that availability, colors, and pricing could change. A deal page can remain online after its price expires or switch to a different seller, storage tier, or condition.
Check the live Amazon listing and compare it with Google’s product pages before ordering. Google’s official product information starts the Pixel 9 Pro at $999, but that reference price does not prove that an Amazon discount is currently active: Google Pixel 9 Pro and configuration page.

- The power behind AI on Google Pixel - Google Tensor G4 is Pixel’s most powerful chip yet.
What you get in the standard Pixel 9 Pro
Google lists the compact Pro model with a 6.3-inch Super Actua LTPO OLED display, 1–120Hz refresh rate, 1280 × 2856 resolution, up to 2,000 nits HDR brightness, and up to 3,000 nits peak brightness. It uses the Tensor G4 processor and 16GB of RAM. Storage options begin at 128GB and extend to 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB.
- Cameras: 50MP main, 48MP ultrawide with Macro Focus, and 48MP 5x telephoto; Super Res Zoom reaches up to 30x.
- Battery: 4,700mAh typical capacity for the standard Pro.
- Durability: IP68 dust and water resistance.
- Software support: Seven years of operating-system, security, and Pixel Drop updates from the device’s US Google Store availability date, according to Google’s support policy.
These specifications come from Google’s official Pixel 9 Pro specifications. The 45W USB-C charger used for Google’s stated fast-charging figures is sold separately.

Pixel 9 Pro versus Pixel 9 Pro XL
The $749 headline concerns the standard 6.3-inch Pixel 9 Pro. Do not substitute the similarly named XL. The Pro XL has a 6.8-inch display, a 5,060mAh typical battery, and faster wired charging—approximately 70% in 30 minutes with Google’s 45W charger, compared with approximately 55% for the standard Pro. The comparison appears in Google’s specifications.
A separate $749 Prime Day promotion covered a 128GB Pixel 9 Pro XL, and Android Authority described it as the larger model’s second-lowest price. That is a different deal and should not be combined with the standard Pro’s price history.

- Attention-grabbing design meets the latest evolution of the Google Pixel Camera on the new Google Pixel 11 Pro; Gemini Intelligence helps manage details so you can live in the moment[1]; and the phone is available in two sizes
- Unlocked Android phone gives you the flexibility to change carriers and choose your own data plan: Works with Google Fi, Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T, and other major carriers[2]
- Stay informed without looking at your screen: When your phone is face down, Pixel HiLight gently alerts you with subtle glowing lights when your favorite contacts are calling or you’re talking with Gemini; exclusive to Google Pixel 11 Pro phones
- Magic Capture catches the moment as you live it: With just one tap, Pixel 11 Pro captures video and photos, and automatically edits, crops, and unblurs a curated collection, ready to share – and you get the memory of how it felt to be in the moment
- Two new cameras for more brilliant photos: A larger telephoto sensor captures 30% more light for clear, beautiful photos and videos, even in the dark[3]; Pixel’s longest zoom ever helps you capture details from impressive distances[4]
When $749 is a good buy
- The live listing is genuinely the standard Pixel 9 Pro, not the Pixel 9, Pro XL, or Pro Fold.
- It is new, unlocked, and sold by a seller you trust.
- 128GB is enough for your photos, 4K video, games, and offline media.
- You value the telephoto camera, LTPO 120Hz display, 16GB RAM, and long update commitment.
- No trade-in, activation, financing, coupon, or account-specific condition is required.
When to wait or compare
- The price is above $749; a later $699 report shows that lower pricing has been possible.
- You need more than 128GB or routinely store large video and game libraries.
- You prefer the XL’s larger screen, bigger battery, or faster wired charging.
- A newer Pixel generation offers a longer remaining support horizon or materially better performance at a similar effective price.
- The offer is refurbished, open-box, used, or supplied by an unfamiliar marketplace seller.
- A carrier promotion provides a larger discount after trade-in and you accept its activation or lock-in terms.
Tensor G4 is suitable for everyday use and Google’s software features, but deal coverage has characterized its performance as serviceable rather than class-leading against the fastest Snapdragon phones. The phone’s seven-year support promise is valuable, although it does not guarantee that every future feature will run identically on this hardware.
Checklist before you place the order
- Read the variant: Confirm “Pixel 9 Pro,” 128GB, and the intended color.
- Check condition: Make sure the offer says new, not renewed, refurbished, open-box, or used.
- Verify network status: Confirm unlocked status if you want to choose or change carriers.
- Inspect the seller: Determine whether Amazon itself or a third-party marketplace seller is fulfilling the order.
- Review the total: Add sales tax and shipping; check that no activation, financing, or trade-in is required.
- Read returns and warranty: Confirm the return window, restocking terms, and warranty provider.
- Check compatibility: Google explains that unlocked phones are not tied to one carrier, but bands and service availability vary by carrier and region; see Google’s compatibility guidance.
- Confirm contents: Do not assume a 45W charger, case, or screen protector is included.
Do not confuse optional extras with the phone price
The April coverage mentioned an optional case-and-screen-protector bundle for about $17 more, or roughly $766 combined. That accessory offer was not part of the $749 phone price. Buy protection only if the current seller, compatibility, return terms, and price meet your needs. Google’s Pixel Care+ configuration signals have shown approximately $12 per month or $199 for two years, but coverage pricing and eligibility can vary by state, device, and checkout; verify the amount at purchase.

Bottom line for buyers
$749 was a compelling historical price for a new, unlocked 128GB standard Pixel 9 Pro—especially for shoppers who wanted a compact phone with a telephoto camera and seven years of updates. It was not a permanent all-time low: the same basic configuration was later reported at $699. Treat any current $749 listing as a price to verify, not a guarantee. Confirm the exact model, storage, condition, seller, warranty, returns, taxes, and carrier requirements before paying.
