PiP World acquired StockRise, a Roblox stock-simulation game, in a deal reported by GamesBeat on August 7, 2024. The purchase price was not disclosed. StockRise simulates investing with virtual funds; it is not a real-money brokerage or evidence of investment returns. Its Roblox listing said there were no running experiences when accessed on October 8, 2026, so availability may have changed since then.
What is StockRise?
StockRise, listed on Roblox as “StockRise: Stock Simulator,” is a digital experience built around a virtual portfolio. The Roblox listing describes investing in the stock market and trading cryptocurrencies at real-time prices, with play set on a trading floor or in an office. See the Roblox experience listing.
PiP World described StockRise as a “hyper-realistic paper trading experience of stocks and cryptocurrencies.” Paper trading means making simulated trades with virtual funds rather than placing real orders with money. The description does not establish that players can trade actual securities or crypto, or that the game produces real-world financial results.
Who owns StockRise, and what were the deal terms?
Dubai-based PiP World acquired StockRise, according to GamesBeat’s August 7, 2024 report. The acquisition price was not disclosed. GamesBeat also reported that developer Dale Berkove would join PiP World’s advisory board. Berkove said in a post from the announcement period that he would join as an advisor and continue developing StockRise with its team.

Why did PiP World acquire the game?
PiP World presented StockRise as part of a broader social gaming and financial-education ecosystem. In the acquisition coverage, the company described PiP Trader as a trading-strategy simulator and PiP Academy as a gamified learning product. Those descriptions explain the company’s stated strategy; they do not verify that every announced product or planned upgrade was completed.
PiP World CEO Saad Bachir Al Naja said, “We’re thrilled to welcome Dale and the StockRise community into the PiP World ecosystem. We’re mutually aligned on helping our communities make strides towards financial freedom through better-informed trading,” as quoted by GamesBeat in its August 7, 2024 report. The statement reflects the company’s goals, not an independently measured educational outcome.

How popular was StockRise?
PiP World reported more than seven million plays and over 250,000 monthly active users around the acquisition announcement in 2024. These are historical company-reported figures, not current verified user counts. GamesBeat separately reported seven million visits, 20,000 likes, and an average session time of 10.9 minutes, compared with 8.2 minutes for the genre, in its August 7, 2024 story. Those figures are attributed to GamesBeat’s reporting and should not be treated as current performance data.
The available reporting does not provide a named, dated statistic showing that StockRise improved players’ financial literacy. Its educational positioning should therefore be understood as an intended use, not a demonstrated result.
