On October 1, 2024, Palo Alto Networks announced that its strategic alliance with Deloitte was expanding into EMEA and JAPAC. The companies said the joint cybersecurity offerings would be available to Deloitte clients globally, covering cyber detection and response, cloud security, and Zero Trust adoption. The announcement describes an expansion of enterprise services and software—not a consumer product or a country-by-country availability guarantee.
What did Palo Alto Networks and Deloitte announce?
The companies said their long-standing strategic alliance was expanding into EMEA and JAPAC. Deloitte would offer Palo Alto Networks security solutions and joint services across network security, cloud security, and security operations. The stated reach is global for Deloitte clients, but the announcement does not list individual countries or establish that every offering is available in every market.
The business rationale is what the companies call “platformization”: moving away from collections of separate security tools toward integrated platforms. Palo Alto Networks and Deloitte argue that fragmented products can increase operational complexity. That is the companies’ framing of the opportunity, not evidence that the expanded alliance has already produced particular security or cost outcomes.
Which cybersecurity services are included?
Cyber detection and response
The announcement names Cortex XSIAM, which Palo Alto Networks describes as combining SIEM, SOAR, and XDR capabilities. Deloitte’s intellectual property and workflows are intended to support security operations center modernization, incident-response playbooks, IT service-management integrations, and event-log aggregation and orchestration. These are elements of the joint offering as described by the companies, rather than independently evaluated results.

Palo Alto Networks’ alliance overview also lists Zero Trust Enablement, Multi-Cloud Automation and Orchestration, Managed Cyber Defense, and 5G security. It identifies Deloitte as its 2022 Global SI Partner of the Year and 2022 AMS SI Partner of the Year; those are Palo Alto Networks’ own partner-award labels, not independent product-quality assessments.

- Up to 40% reduction in security compliance costs.
- 80% decrease in “dwell time,” defined in the release as time to detect, respond, and remediate.
- 35% lower customer total cost of ownership.
These are joint-company claims from 2021, presented as potential benefits; the cited announcement does not provide an independent evaluation. They should not be read as guaranteed savings or measured outcomes from the 2024 geographic expansion. Separately, Palo Alto Networks’ 2023 State of Cloud-Native Security survey reported that 55% of respondents deployed code to production daily or multiple times a day. That figure provides context for the secure-development offering, not evidence about the 2024 expansion or an independent industry-wide rate.

- Whether every joint offering is available in every country in EMEA or JAPAC.
- Current commercial terms, pricing, or a country-specific purchasing route.
- Independent proof that the alliance’s stated benefits have been achieved by customers.
For an organization evaluating the services, the practical next step is to confirm with Deloitte which offerings are available in its country and what scope and terms apply. The public announcement establishes the companies’ stated global client reach, not a universal availability list.
