Other same-day reports listed lower rates. Daily Ausaf put 18K gold at Rs386,096 per tola (Rs330,930 per 10 grams); that figure is the publication’s reported rate, not an independently confirmed association benchmark.

Why the 24K reports differ
The three sources do not give one matching 24K rate. Dawn’s APSGJA-linked figure is Rs9,500 per tola above Daily Pakistan’s report. Economy.pk’s listing is also lower than Dawn’s. The available reports do not explain whether the gap came from different update times, revisions, or another reporting difference, so the figures should be read as source-specific reports rather than combined into a single definitive rate.
Dawn says the association’s rates were based on interbank exchange rates. Its coverage also described a rise in international gold prices and quoted APSGJA president Qasim Shikarpuri on market conditions. He cited investor activity and profit-taking, alongside weak jewellery-buyer demand amid affordability pressure; these are his explanations, not independently established causes of the reported movement. How to interpret the 18K figure
Daily Ausaf listed 18K gold at Rs386,096 per tola and Rs330,930 per 10 grams on January 25. This is the outlet’s published figure. The available reporting does not provide an association-issued 18K table to verify it independently, so it should not be presented as a confirmed APSGJA benchmark or derived by applying a purity ratio to a 24K rate.

Published rate versus a jeweller’s quote
A published benchmark is not necessarily the final price a customer pays or receives. Dawn’s report describes association rates based on interbank exchange rates, while an individual jeweller’s transaction quote may differ. Confirm the rate, purity, weight, and any applicable making charges directly with the seller before a purchase or sale.
