OSSSC’s CRE-2023(III) and CRE-2023(IV) application windows are closed. Their deadlines were different: CRE-2023(III) registration or re-registration ended on 15 February 2024, while CRE-2023(IV) registration or re-registration ended on 20 February 2024. The online application deadlines were 20 February and 28 February 2024, respectively. These are historical dates, not current or reopened deadlines. OSSSC CRE-2023(III) and CRE-2023(IV) revised dates
OSSSC extended the dates for two separate Combined Recruitment Examination cycles in notices dated 16 January 2024. Registration or re-registration and submission of the online application were separate milestones; registering alone did not complete an application for CRE-2023(IV).

What changed for CRE-2023(III)
OSSSC extended registration or re-registration through 15 February 2024 and online application submission through 20 February 2024. The same notice reported that a revised requisition following restructuring of the Odisha Pharmacist Service Cadre reduced the advertised Pharmacist vacancy count from 1,002 to 206. Those figures apply to the Pharmacist post in CRE-2023(III), not CRE-2023(IV).

What changed for CRE-2023(IV)
The extension notice continued the 29 December 2023 advertisement and set 20 February 2024 as the registration or re-registration deadline and 28 February 2024 as the online application deadline. It said other terms and conditions remained unchanged.
The original CRE-2023(IV) advertisement covered Revenue Inspector (RI), ICDS Supervisor, Assistant Revenue Inspector (ARI), Amin and Statistical Field Surveyor (SFS) posts. It treated registration or re-registration and submission of the online application as distinct steps, so completing registration by the first deadline was not the same as filing the application by the second.

How to check the current recruitment status
The 2024 application deadlines do not establish that applications have reopened or that a new application date has been announced. OSSSC’s recruitment listing, checked on 8 October 2026, shows later CRE-2023(IV) activity, including a notice dated 30 September 2026 postponing counselling scheduled for that date. That later activity confirms the process had moved beyond the application window; it is not a new application deadline.
- Open the OSSSC recruitment news and candidate portal.
- Look for the latest notice for the relevant CRE cycle and post, and check its date and stated action.
- Use the notice itself to confirm any revised schedule. Do not rely on the historical 2024 dates as evidence of a reopening.
OSSSC also maintains an official results and recruitment listing. Check the relevant official notice for the stage that applies to a particular cycle or post.
