OPPO announced a price adjustment for selected already-released phones in China on March 10, 2026, effective March 16. The notice covered OPPO’s A and K series and OnePlus products, citing higher costs for key components, including high-speed storage hardware. It was not a blanket global increase: OPPO excluded its Find, Reno, and Pad lines, and the China announcement does not establish a matching U.S. price change.
What OPPO announced, and where it applies
OPPO’s March 10 announcement concerned selected products sold in China, not every phone in the company’s catalog. Reports reproducing the notice put the effective time at 12:00 a.m. China time on March 16, 2026. OPPO cited rising costs for multiple key components, including high-speed storage hardware. IT之家 reported the announcement’s scope and exclusions; Sina Finance covered the March 10 notice.
- Included: selected OPPO A-series and K-series products, plus OnePlus products.
- Excluded from this announcement: OPPO Find, Reno, and Pad products.
- Market and timing: China, effective March 16, 2026.
OPPO described the move as a “price adjustment.” Retail reporting documents resulting increases on particular models, but it does not amount to a complete official price list for every model and configuration.
Reported price changes for specific models
The following figures are reported Chinese retail adjustments, not a global price schedule. The price changes can differ by model, configuration, and whether the comparison is with the price immediately before March 16 or with the original launch price. IT之家’s March 16 report lists the following OnePlus examples:

The two comparisons for the Ace 6T and Turbo 6 are not contradictory: one is the reported change at that time, while the other is the cumulative difference from the model’s original launch price.
OPPO retail-channel reports listed increases of about 500 yuan for the K13 Turbo and K13 Turbo Pro. Other reported A-series listings rose by at least 300 yuan, with higher-memory versions reportedly up by 500 yuan; K-series changes were reported at roughly 300–500 yuan. These are examples, not evidence that every A- or K-series SKU changed by the same amount. IT之家 and The Paper reported the model and retail-channel details.

Why component costs can push up phone prices
The company’s stated rationale was higher costs for key components, specifically including high-speed storage. Industry coverage connects the pressure to memory supply and pricing: smartphones use DRAM as working memory and NAND flash for storage, and both are exposed to shifts in supply and demand. Caixin Global reported sharp DRAM and NAND price increases in the first quarter of 2026. People’s Daily cited National Development and Reform Commission data describing memory prices as the highest since that data series began in 2016.
Industry reporting has also linked tighter memory supply to demand from AI infrastructure and data-center construction. That is broader market context, not a specific causal explanation OPPO gave for each model’s adjustment. Memory can weigh especially heavily on lower- and mid-range phones, where component costs take a larger share of the bill of materials and margins are often thinner. A given phone’s storage configuration is fixed as a product SKU, so a maker facing higher costs may have to choose among absorbing them, changing prices, or managing which configurations it continues to supply.

- Unfolded: 159.9 x 145.6 x 4.2 mm, Folded: 159.9 x 74.1 x 8.9 mm
Those are general commercial explanations for why a price adjustment can affect an already-released phone; OPPO did not publicly attribute each individual model’s change to a particular supply decision. A price increase may also help manufacturers manage constrained configurations, but the available reporting does not establish that as OPPO’s stated reason.
Is this a global OPPO or OnePlus price hike?
No. The March 16 change described above was for the China market. Other regions have had separate announcements, and a local adjustment should not be folded into the China notice or treated as evidence of a worldwide change.

Taiwan had a separate OPPO announcement
On March 11, 2026, OPPO Taiwan announced adjustments for selected Reno15 and A6 products, effective that day. The reported recommended-retail-price increases were about NT$2,000–NT$2,500. This was a distinct market-specific notice with different models, timing, and currency. OPPO Taiwan’s announcement gives the regional scope.
The United States did not have a confirmed matching increase
In contemporaneous reporting, OnePlus told PCMag it had no immediate plans to make the same change in the United States, while not ruling out future changes. That statement is not a guarantee about later U.S. pricing. The report syndicated by Yahoo describes the company’s position.

Other Chinese phone brands, including Vivo and iQOO, were reported to make their own adjustments in March 2026. That points to cost pressure in China’s phone market, not a confirmed price schedule for every manufacturer or country. TechNode’s March 17 coverage and Caixin’s reporting discuss the broader market. Forecasts about future global price increases remain forecasts, not proof that a particular phone’s local retail price has changed.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What U.S. and international buyers should check
Do not convert a Chinese yuan price into an assumed U.S. retail price. Taxes, distribution, carrier agreements, import costs, and regional pricing differ, and a China-market model may not be officially sold in another country. Check the exact model and storage configuration on the relevant regional store or an authorized retailer.
As of August 16, 2026, OnePlus said it would conclude product rollouts in Europe and North America while continuing software updates, security patches, warranty obligations, and after-sales support for existing devices. That notice changes the availability question for U.S. shoppers, but does not show that the March China adjustment applied to U.S. retail prices. OnePlus’s regional business notice sets out the stated change and support commitments.
Before considering a China-market import, check whether the specific device supports the buyer’s carrier bands, has suitable firmware and Google services, and includes warranty and repair coverage where the buyer lives. A lower converted sticker price may not compensate for limited local service, uncertain returns, or compatibility problems.
Quick Recap
A practical buy-or-wait check
- Verify the exact SKU: reported increases vary, and memory or storage configuration can affect the price.
- Compare total value: warranty, software support, network compatibility, repair access, trade-in value, and discounts can outweigh a list-price difference.
- Consider timing carefully: buying sooner may make sense if an officially sold model’s current price and availability are clear. Waiting may be better if a successor is near or likely discounts matter more than the reported adjustment.
- Use regional prices and terms: confirm the seller, return policy, warranty, and support for the market where the phone will be used.
