Port Qasim’s records document petroleum cargo activity in early October 2026, while separate reporting says Saudi crude shipments to Pakistan via the Red Sea resumed after a disruption. The available records do not establish that the reported Saudi shipment arrived at Port Qasim: its vessel, receiving refinery, volume and expected arrival date were not disclosed.
What Port Qasim’s latest records show
The Port Qasim Authority’s daily shipping program and berth-wise cargo handling record were updated on 7 October 2026. They answer different questions: a schedule lists planned vessel movements, while a berth-handling record documents cargo activity at the port. Neither record links a listed cargo to the unnamed Saudi crude shipment reported in September.
The berth-wise record lists a Mogas cargo on M.T-NAVE CIELO from Singapore and a separate LPG cargo from Oman. Mogas is gasoline, a refined petroleum product; LPG is a different fuel. These entries show petroleum-related activity, not crude oil cargoes.
The Pakistan Single Window PortVerse listing, accessed on 8 October, showed ESTEEM HOUSTON as an oil tanker with a submitted Port Qasim ETA of 8 October 2026 at 23:00. That is a provisional schedule entry, not confirmation that the vessel arrived, what it carried, or whether cargo was discharged. - detailed 12-inch scale model representing a modern commercial oil tanker. This replica celebrates the "titans of trade," featuring the classic flat-deck design, complex piping systems, stern bridge superstructure, and bulbous bow found on real-world supertankers.
- Unlike standard ship models, this piece showcases the intricate network of deck piping, valves, and catwalks characteristic of liquid cargo vessels. The multi-colored design (green deck, white superstructure, black/red hull) provides an authentic industrial look without the need for painting.
- Designed as a static display piece for logistics professionals, oil and gas industry workers, merchant mariners, and naval engineers. Its sturdy, flat-bottomed hull sits stable on any desk, shelf, or bookcase, making it a perfect professional accent for a corporate office or home study.

What is known about Saudi crude moving to Pakistan
Arab News reported on 22 September 2026 that Saudi crude shipments to Pakistan via the Red Sea had resumed after interruption to the East-West Pipeline. The report did not identify the vessel, cargo volume, receiving refinery or expected Pakistani arrival date. It therefore provides route context, but does not show that a particular shipment reached Port Qasim. [Arab News report, 22 September 2026]
A 2026 written response in Pakistan’s National Assembly identified Yanbu in Saudi Arabia and Fujairah in the UAE among alternative crude loading origins explored or used to maintain continuity during disruption. It also said war-risk insurance and freight rates were subject to revision, with freight reported as rising up to fivefold compared with normal conditions. That comparison is reported in the parliamentary response and should not be read as applying to every route or cargo. [National Assembly of Pakistan response]

How to read the different shipment records
| Record | What it establishes | What it does not establish |
|---|---|---|
| Port Qasim Authority daily shipping program, updated 7 October 2026 | Scheduled vessel, commodity and manifest information. | A scheduled ETA alone does not prove arrival or discharge. |
| Port Qasim Authority berth-wise handling record, updated 7 October 2026 | Listed vessel, reported origin, commodity and handling activity. | It does not identify the listed Mogas or LPG cargoes as the reported Saudi crude shipment. |
| Pakistan Single Window PortVerse listing, accessed 8 October 2026 | A submitted ETA for ESTEEM HOUSTON at Port Qasim: 8 October 2026 at 23:00. | It does not confirm arrival, cargo contents or discharge. |
| Arab News report, 22 September 2026 | Reported resumption of Saudi crude shipments via the Red Sea after disruption. | The vessel, receiving refinery, volume and expected arrival date were not disclosed. |
These sources describe separate stages and kinds of evidence. A submitted ETA is a plan; a port handling entry is an operational record; a news report can describe a route without identifying a particular vessel at a Pakistani terminal. Port Qasim is also distinct from Karachi port, and a PortVerse entry naming Port Muhammad Bin Qasim should not be treated as a record for another port.
How much petroleum has Port Qasim handled?
Pakistan Single Window reported that Port Qasim handled approximately 450,000 metric tons of petroleum products and LPG across 17 vessel calls in March 2026, including around 417,000 metric tons of petroleum products. These are March figures, not an October total, and they combine petroleum products and LPG rather than documenting crude oil arrivals for October. What this means for Pakistan’s energy supply
The records support a limited but useful conclusion: petroleum-related cargoes were listed at Port Qasim in early October, and Saudi crude movement via the Red Sea was reported to have resumed. They do not establish the quantity of crude delivered to Pakistan in October, whether the unnamed Saudi shipment was received at Port Qasim, or whether the country faced a shortage. Crude, refined products such as Mogas, and LPG are distinct cargo categories and should not be combined as if they were interchangeable evidence of crude supply.
